What Our Evaluator Had To Say
“I appreciated that reception asked about my previous experience with spin or cycling, and asked if I was new to the area.
”The coach clearly explained the aims of the class and that the purpose was the keep to the beat of the music while other exercises were layered in.”
“I loved how the candles that flanked the instructor's bike made the space glow, even when the lights were turned way down.”
What To Expect From A Pedal House Session

The Reception Service
While it was not possible to contact the club by phone, the reception staff were very personable and helpful, maintaining the calming energy that the club seemed to be going for.
The Class Experience
Pedal House received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of New York’s strong, stand out offerings.
Our evaluator found it a little hard to get their bearings straight as a first timer, and they were sometimes unsure of the intended energy flow as the songs alternated in intensity. It was a fun class, however, and there was a clear momentum throughout.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio was very professional and appropriate for the workout. The lighting was very impressive, and there were several strong branding elements.
The Facilities And Public Areas
The club had an incredibly clean, fresh, and high-end feel which made our evaluator feel very relaxed while not actively working out. The eucalyptus in the showers was a nice touch that showed thoughtfulness to the atmosphere being provided.
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
Digital And Technology
The club’s website was easy to use for purchasing and booking classes. While we found the content posted on social media pages interesting and professional, they were not regularly updated.

The Pedal House Story
Joey Foley was looking for a way out of finance when a friend persuaded him to try a famous New York cycling class. Being a triathlete, Joey didn’t think it would be for him - but that class changed his life. He became hooked on the energy of a great cycling experience and it inspired him to quit his job two weeks later.
After realizing he wasn’t “soulful” enough to become an instructor at the major cycling brands, he set out to pave his own path and create his own method. In 2017, Pedal House was born, co-founded by his partner Nada Foley.
Pedal House’s sister brand, Punch House, is a boxing bootcamp concept on West 21st Street.
