What To Expect From A MADabolic Session
At MADabolic, the term "MAD" refers to the three types of training days offered: Momentum, Anaerobic, and Durability. These programs are expertly crafted by the co-founder, Kirk, and are delivered in comprehensive 12-week cycles.
The Momentum sessions encompass a combination of athletic lifting and dynamic movements, including plyometrics and agility work
The Anaerobic sessions are geared towards enhancing strength and power through high-intensity exercises such as explosive lifts and sprints.
The Durability sessions, on the other hand, are designed to challenge one's stamina, with a focus on lower intensity exercises performed over a longer period of time, such as weighted walks and primal crawling exercises.
Reception Services
Our phone inquiry was informative and engaging, with the staff showing genuine enthusiasm by asking about our fitness background and goals. She confidently explained what MADabolic was all about, leaving us feeling excited for the visit.
At check-in, we were warmly welcomed, and despite juggling multiple clients, the receptionist remained professional and efficient. A brief orientation was provided, though more detail on amenities like water stations and towel availability would have been useful. After class, she took the time to discuss membership options, offering tailored recommendations in a non-pushy yet proactive way.

The Class Experience
The MADabolic Brooklyn location has received our highly prestigious Class Experience Award of Excellence, placing it among the very best of clubs evaluated by The Fit Guide.
Our coach delivered a well-structured and enjoyable class with clear instructions and a positive, professional demeanor. She made the programming easy to follow and maintained a friendly attitude throughout.
The class flowed seamlessly, with defined breaks and pumping music creating a fun atmosphere. The coach engaged with participants during transitions, adjusted individual form discreetly, and made herself available after class for feedback and questions. It really felt as though it was important to her that we all got a great workout.

The Equipment And Studio
The studio delivered a vibrant training environment that was branded nicely with MADabolic colors and graphics, such as the graffiti mural and overall sleek design. This really added energy to the space. Thoughtful details and a consistent color scheme reinforced the club’s identity, creating a fun yet professional atmosphere.
Equipment was top-tier, fully stocked, and well-organized, featuring premium brands like Tag and Concept2 to accommodate all fitness levels. The spacious layout, ample lighting, and high-quality sound system enhanced the experience.
The Facilities And Public Areas
The club’s public areas created a vibrant and cohesive atmosphere, with a bold teal, gray, and black color scheme enhanced by eye-catching branding elements like artwork and the glowing “We’re all MAD here” sign. The industrial-style architecture—concrete floors, high ceilings—gave the space an edgy, Brooklyn-inspired feel that matched the club’s high-energy vibe.
Locker and grooming areas were spotless and well-stocked with essentials like lotion, deodorant, and dry shampoo, though the absence of hairdryers and standout design touches left room for improvement. The biggest drawback was the lack of showers, which could be inconvenient given the limited nearby options.
Lockers with number locks were available, and while workout and shower towels weren’t provided, free water refill stations kept us hydrated. The club also offered a solid selection of drinks like FitAid and snacks such as Barebells protein bars.
Digital And Technology
The club’s website was aesthetically pleasing, professionally designed, and aligned with the brand, featuring high-quality imagery and a friendly tone. Class content was clearly described, and the booking process was smooth and user-friendly, with immediate confirmation emails adding a layer of convenience.
The club's social media pages were on-brand and featured consistent updates.
