What To Expect From A Humming Puppy Session
A Humming Puppy studio has a distinctive look and feel, offering a minimalist and classy space that is light on logos and heavy on ambiance. Their classes are not one style of Yoga but rather reflect different practices and the authentic experiences of all their instructors.
Their class types include Mellow Hum for recovery and deep restoration, Unified Hum for exploring uplifting movement, Dynamic Hum for challenging strength, and Foundation Hum for discovering the fundamentals in a supportive environment.

The receptionist handled our call efficiently and provided lots of detailed information, ensuring we felt well-prepared for our visit. =
Upon arrival, the receptionist greeted us promptly and provided an orientation to the studio and facilities, ensuring we were familiar with everything we needed to know. The registration process was quick and seamless in a clean and organized environment.
On departure, staff was enthusiastic and made a strong effort to encourage us to take advantage of the new client offer, which we really appreciated.
The Class Experience
Humming Puppy received our Award of Excellence for the Class Experience.
Our coach led a calming and restorative class that made us feel super relaxed. Her clear expertise and preparation were evident in her demonstrations, verbal guidance, and her ability to offer modifications for poses based on our needs.
The class moved at a well-paced rhythm, with clear instructions and consistent soundscapes enhancing the ambiance. While the session flowed smoothly, a more proactive approach in engaging first-time clients and conducting injury checks would help us feel more supported and prepared for the session.
Breaks and opportunities for rest were present, though they could have been more explicitly communicated. The cooldown was thoughtfully structured, allowing for a gradual return to stillness, and our coach's availability for questions post-class was appreciated.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio successfully created a tranquil and meditative environment with its dark walls, tiered flooring design, and unique lighting effects. It was the escape from the fast pace of New York that we were looking for.
The space felt clean, fresh, and comfortable, enhancing the class experience and providing a clear departure from the bustling city outside. The high-quality sound system complemented the overall ambiance, making the session immersive.
The Facilities And Public Areas
The club’s was a little hard to find, but once we entered, the light, airy design and meditative vibe created a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere that felt well-suited to the Chelsea neighborhood. Thoughtful touches, such as complimentary tea and water in the waiting area, enhanced the experience and added a sense of hospitality.
The locker and changing areas were spacious and consistent with the overall aesthetic. Amenities were plentiful. While the showers were clean, the cold water temperature significantly detracted from the post-workout experience.
Workout and shower towels were available free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
Digital And Technology
The booking process was straightforward, efficient, and user-friendly.
We found the website to be professionally designed, consistent with the brand's aesthetic, and easy to navigate, with a clear process for booking and understanding class types. The "The Hum" page provided strong insights into the club's values, reinforcing the brand's image.

Humming Puppy offers an introductory offer of unlimited classes for 21, priced at $89. This offer is available to local residents only.
If you’re looking for a longer-term commitment, memberships are available from $129 for four classes per month up to $249 for unlimited classes.
Drop-in sessions are available at $37 per class, with smaller commitment packages also available, starting at a five-pack for $165.
