What To Expect From A Bodē NYC Session
Bodē NYC offers their Original Hot Yoga series with 60, 75 and 90-minute sessions available. The series is known as ‘26+2’, as it’s a practice of 26 yoga postures followed by two breathing exercises. The series offers poses of varying difficulty levels in an environment that welcomes anyone who’s prepared to give the class their dedication and determination. Bodē believes that even the most challenging postures can be conquered, and their team will help you get there.
Bodē NYC also offers a HIIT cardio class, Hot Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga, a restorative class that balances the more demanding practices.
The Reception Service
The staff checked us in and went through the basics, but there could have been more of an effort to connect with us.
The Class Experience
Bodē NYC's Flatiron branch received The Fit Guide’s 4-star Class Experience Award, making it one of New York’s stand-out offerings.
The instructor was constantly floating around the room looking for opportunities to make adjustments and ensure the class was right for everyone. On occasions, the instructor did not physically demonstrate the poses but rather explained or named them, making it a little hard to follow for the less advanced practitioner.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio was fairly minimal and basic with a nice amount of natural light coming through.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Most of the items had to be paid for, such as towels, water, and mats. Some cleanliness issues were observed in the changing rooms and showers.
Workout and shower towels were not provided. Lockers were provided but clients had to provide their own locks. Free water refill stations were not available.
Digital And Technology
Bodē NYC’s website is simple, but covers the basics and offers a smooth booking process. We would like to have seen the instructor bios on the website before joining the class.
