What to Expect From A Barry's Session
A typical Barry’s session is a 50-minute high-intensity workout split between treadmill intervals and strength training exercises. Their signature red-lit studios create an electrifying atmosphere, with expertly curated playlists and motivating instructors driving the energy.
The workout alternates between cardio on state-of-the-art treadmills and weight training exercises using dumbbells, resistance bands, and benches. Each day targets specific muscle groups, including options like Chest + Back, Arms + Abs, or Full Body.
Class types include standard 50-minute classes or Double Floor for participants who prefer strength training without the treadmill element.

The Reception Service
Our call to the club wasn’t answered at first, but when we got through, the information provided was clear, though not particularly personalized.
At the studio, the receptionist was friendly and efficient, making check-in easy. While directions were provided when asked, a proactive intro to the space would have been a nice touch. After class, staff checked in and shared package details in a helpful, low-pressure way.

The Class Experience
Barry's E 64th received our Class Experience Award of Excellence making it one of New York's premier offerings.
The class delivered a well-structured, high-energy workout that kept us engaged from start to finish. Our coach brought enthusiasm and professionalism, providing clear instructions and a smooth flow, all set to an upbeat soundtrack that matched the intensity.
With a large class size and fast pace, individual attention was limited, but the strong community vibe was evident through milestone celebrations on a board outside the studio, and a strong sense of group camaraderie. Overall, it was a motivating and challenging session—perfect for regulars looking to push their limits, though first-timers might need a bit more personal attention to get through the notoriously tough class.

The Equipment And Studio
The training room set the tone with a sleek, high-end feel that perfectly matched the club’s branding. Everything was spotless, well-organized, and designed to create a professional yet welcoming atmosphere.
Top-tier equipment, from Woodway treadmills to branded weights and towels, was fully stocked and ready to go. The bold red lighting and mirror-lined walls gave the space a signature “Red Room” vibe—visually striking, though it made treadmill speed adjustments a bit tricky. With a strong design and immersive sound system, the space delivered an impressive workout experience.

The Facilities And Public Areas
Lockers with number locks were provided, along with free workout and shower towels. Water refill stations were complimentary, and the smoothie bar offered La Colombe cold brew and Celsius energy drinks, though there were no food options available.
The club had a bright, modern feel, with polished counters, high ceilings, and concrete floors creating a sleek, unified space. While the locker rooms felt a bit tight during peak times, the high-quality amenities—especially Ouai shower products—added a luxe touch. Strong branding throughout reinforced the club’s energetic and professional vibe.

Digital And Technology
The club’s booking system was smooth and user-friendly, with immediate confirmation to keep things hassle-free. Emails were professional and on-brand, though a bit more guidance for first-timers would have been a nice touch.
The website was sleek and intuitive, featuring detailed class descriptions, instructor bios, and an “About Us” section that reinforced the club’s identity. Social media was well-maintained, visually on-brand, and kept class schedules easy to find.
