The Highlights

A highlight of the class experience was our instructor’s attentiveness when working with beginner clients that needed help. The studio space was also very smart, clean and was well-branded.

What Our Evaluator Had To Say

“Our instructor’s energetic and motivating nature boosted the atmosphere in the class.”

“All the class participants were very well looked after during the session, with one pregnant client being given different exercises to ensure she was comfortable at all times.”

“The design features and clean feel of the studio created a crisp and refreshing environment.”

What to Expect From An Xtend Session

Xtend offers a group class concept that’s influenced by dance, Barre and Pilates.

The brand offers two Core Xtend Programs in the form of Xtend Barre and Xtend Pilates. These offer a more traditional approach, working towards strengthening your body and mind through low-intensity exercises and movements.

Other classes such as Xtend Suspend and Circuit 7 use equipment not typically found in Barre classes, like the TRX.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit calls to the branch went unanswered. On arrival, the instructor, who was also on front desk duties, was busy coaching a class, so we waited to be let into the studio space. The check-in and departure process covered the basics.

The Class Experience

Xtend Alexandria received our Recommended rating for the Class Experience.

Our instructor made an effort to engage with everyone at least once during the class, which contributed to a positive and energetic atmosphere. Where needed, for example with one pregnant client, the instructor went above and beyond to ensure the exercises were right for them.

General words of encouragement and motivation were offered to the whole class, but not individually.

The Equipment And Studio

The studio and equipment were exceptionally clean and in great condition. Everything was neatly organized, with branding elements on the equipment and throughout the studio. The team immediately vacuumed the studio after the class ended, demonstrating a strong commitment to cleanliness.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Towels and lockers were not provided, with clients putting their bags and belongings in cubby holes. Free water refill stations were available.

There were some nice touches throughout the public areas such as candles, oil diffusers and ivy garland detail wrapped around the shelves. Overall, the layout made good use of the limited space, with one shower and one toilet for clients' use.

Digital And Technology

Xtend's brand was presented well through their website, social media platforms and email communications. Their app provided good functionality.
