The Highlights

The level of personalization and care during the workout was a particular highlight. The staff member displayed an ability to juggle her different roles around the branch very well, helping her offer great service at each stage of the journey.

What Our Evaluator Had To Say

“The instructor’s positive energy was infectious, contributing to a nice atmosphere in the studio.”

“Despite never having used a ‘Rowformer’ before, the class was very accessible thanks to the instructor’s detailed coaching - I got into the rhythm of the workout in no time.”

“The studio was spotless and the equipment was of very high quality.”

What to Expect From A STRONG Pilates Session

STRONG Pilates offers a mix of Pilates and rowing on their signature “Rowformer” machine, offering a “high intensity, low impact” workout. Part Concept 2 rower, part reformer, this unique piece of kit delivers a powerful blend of resistance and cardio work.

Often referred to amongst its fans as simply ‘STRONG’, this fast-growing company recently added Concept 2 bikes to some of their machines to offer more depth to their cardio choices.

Classes include Strong Loaded which uses heavy springs for a strength challenge; Strong Body for a well-rounded full-body pilates-inspired workout; Strong Sweat, which is more cardio-heavy, and sessions that are pure Cardio and Pilates.

The Reception Service

The staff member who handled our pre-visit call to the branch was helpful and enthusiastic. On arrival, we were greeted by the same person, who was also the coach. She did a wonderful job of offering great service throughout the experience, including a smooth check-in process. After the class, she was comfortable talking through the various memberships and package options.

The Class Experience

STRONG Pilates Alexandria received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of Sydney’s stand-out offerings.

Our instructor led the class with passion and energy, with everyone receiving high amounts of personalized feedback and encouragement.

Despite it being our first time on their signature “Rowformer” machines, the instructor gave us detailed instructions and checked in on us regularly.

The Equipment And Studio

The studio was very clean and fresh, filled with equipment that was spotless and of extremely high quality.

The studio was well-lit lit with a strong sense of brand throughout.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Towels and lockers were not provided. Free water refill stations were available.

Seated areas were limited, but the public areas were overall well-branded and very clean. Rather than lockers, cubby holes were provided.

Digital And Technology

The website contained a reasonable amount of information, although we would have liked to have seen some coach bios.

The booking process was efficient and intuitive, which allowed our evaluator to feel prepared for their class. The use of screens in the class was very helpful, especially as a newcomer at STRONG.
