Soul Agenda - Balmain

Sydney, Australia

The Soul Agenda Story

Soul Agenda, owned and managed by Nell Wengert, was founded in 2020 and offers both yoga and Pilates. One of the intentions behind Soul Agenda is to pay homage to the rich culture and history of Balmain, where the studio is located.

Nell, after completing the famous Camino de Santiago 1000km trek, fell in love with the Inner West vibe of Sydney and wanted to create a space where people could meet to both enjoy yoga, and also be part of a wider, fun and spirited community.

What to Expect From A Soul Agenda Session

If you’re looking for a calming space in Sydney’s inner West to destress and train with a great community, Soul Agenda might be the perfect spot for you.

Soul Agenda is owned by Nell Wengert, who was one of the founding team at the studio, and offers a range of heated and non-heated classes such as Slow Flow, Yin (both heated) Mellow Flow and Soul Brothers (non-heated). They cater for all levels and have helped grown a vibrant community.

The Soul Brothers class “combines familiar exercises with yoga poses and breathing exercises” and is a class designed for men who don’t feel quite ready to join other classes. In addition, Soul Agenda offers a well-rounded Parents & Bubs program for parents who want to connect with their kids while getting their session in.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit call to the club was delightful, with the operator offering a helpful and warm introduction to the concept.

On arrival, check-in duties were on our instructor, who welcomed us warmly and helped us feel comfortable and prepared for the class. After the session, they were confident talking through the package and membership options.

The Class Experience

Soul Agenda received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of Sydney’s stand-out offerings.

The class started well, with our instructor detailing what was coming up and what to expect. Poses were demonstrated clearly with options for beginners and more advanced participants.

The instructor had an abundance of positive energy and genuinely seemed to enjoy teaching the class.

The Equipment And Studio

The studio was minimalistic in design but featured decals on windows which enhanced the sense of brand. The equipment was high-quality.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Workout and shower towels were not provided. Lockers were provided with key locks. Free water refill stations were available.

The waiting area was notable in design and contained a good amount of seating. The club did not offer showers or toilets, however, clients could use toilets in the building that were located down the hallway.
