What to Expect From A Power Living Session
Power Living offers dynamic, heated and non-heated, Vinyasa classes and Yin classes in their studios across Sydney.
Their classes are described as “explorative and challenging” and feature the usual props such as bolsters and yoga blocks. Each week there are Foundations of Yoga classes as well as Mat Pilates sessions held to provide some variety into Power Living’s schedule.
The club focuses on “using the physical body as a tool of transformation and self-discovery” and takes pride in its community-centered approach.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the club was very friendly and informative, leaving us feeling prepared and excited for our class. On arrival, we were promptly greeted and checked in, with a thorough and helpful tour of the studio given.
The whole team was warm, helpful and asked us questions to better get to know us and understand our training background. After the session, the staff was confident with membership options and made a strong recommendation for us to continue our training.
The Class Experience
Power Living Neutral Bay received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of Sydney’s stand-out offerings.
The class was professionally led by our instructor, who was positive and very communicative. She took great care to ensure first-timers were well looked after during the class and clear, easy-to-follow demonstrations were offered for all exercises.
Where necessary, progressions and regressions were offered for the poses.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio was well-lit and minimalistic in design, with few branding elements. The equipment was high quality and in good condition.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were not provided. Lockers were provided without locks. Free water refill stations were available.
The club was located in an old building, with minimal branding throughout the public spaces. The waiting room did provide a welcoming atmosphere thanks to the sofas and plants.
Digital And Technology
The club offers a range of live-streamed classes out of each of its branches which allow Power Living members to practice at home. Their website lacked some key information that would have prepared our evaluator for their visit but did feature the brand’s values and mission.
