Our instructor’s passionate and infectious energy was a particular highlight of the whole experience. We also enjoyed the lighting in the studio and the scent from an oil diffuser, which helped create a calming, zen environment.
What Our Evaluator Had To Say
“The class was structured really clearly, which was perfect for me as a newcomer to Barre.”
“Our instructor was evidently passionate about Barre, and took her time to educate the class on correct technique.”
What to Expect From A Peaches Session
A Peaches workout does not involve a reformer but utilizes other equipment such as booty bands, the "Magic Circle" and sliding discs, referring to their particular approach as “The Peaches Method”.
At Peaches, key Pilates principles are used in combination with modern twists to deliver results. Peaches have strived to create a place for people wanting to get stronger, but who don’t resonate with a traditional gym environment.
The studio also caters to pregnant women or those who have just given birth through calmer classes like Peaches Pilates, Booty Camp as well as the Mums and Bubs program.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit calls to the branch were not answered. On arrival, our evaluator waited until the instructor had finished their class before being checked in, as they were also on front desk duties. They were friendly, but a full orientation of the space was not offered.
The Class Experience
Peaches Pilates Bondi received our Recommended rating for the Class Experience.
Our instructor was clearly passionate about Barre, which helped create a supportive and positive atmosphere. She was also very knowledgeable about the movements, demonstrating how to do each one gracefully. During the main session, more personalized instructions would have helped elevate the experience.
The class was wrapped up well with a nice cooldown and a check-in with our evaluator afterward.
The Equipment And Studio
All the mats and select weights were branded with the Peaches logo. The studio itself was very clean too, with minimal marks, and the lighting and the use of an oil diffuser also contributed to a welcoming and zen environment.
There were a variety of different weights depending on class participants' ability levels, and they were all organized and easily accessible.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Although the branding throughout the studio was strong and featured several nice decorations, the club did not offer showers, lockers, workout towels or water refill options.
Digital And Technology
The club’s branding throughout their website, emails and social media platforms was consistent and visually appealing. A lot of information was shared via email once we'd booked, which helped us feel prepared for our visit.
