“There were three floors in total so the studio felt very spacious.”
What to Expect From A Body Ethos Session
Body Ethos offers a large variety of classes across three different modalities, Yoga, Barre and Pilates.
The club provides traditional classes like Reformer Pilates as well as Yin and Vinyasa Yoga amongst more modern class types, such as Pilates HIIT and yoga sessions dedicated purely to stretching. Classes are either 45 minutes or 1 hour long.
The Reception Service
During our pre-visit call to the branch, the staff was friendly and described the different offerings well.
On arrival, we had a ten-minute wait for the door to be unlocked, but once in we were given a very comprehensive tour of the facilities which left us feeling welcome and prepared for the session. The team was friendly and also knowledgeable about the packages.
The Class Experience
Body Ethos Balmain has achieved The Fit Guide 5-Star Class Experience award for an exceptional class, putting it amongst the very best in Sydney and the industry.
The class was a very positive and impressive experience. New to barre, our evaluator found the session and programming tough, but the coach did a great job of ensuring the workout was at the right level for them.
Our instructor was attentive and warm and had a clearly authentic passion for teaching barre. After the class, the instructor had to leave quickly to attend another class, but they were still able to quickly check in with us on how the session went, which rounded off the session well.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio was spacious with high ceilings, a lot of heaters and ceiling fans, several lights, a seated area with cushions, wall art, and a shelf with candles and plants.
There were words of affirmation painted around the studio, combined with decor and a color scheme that added to the sense of brand. The floors were clean with a glossy finish.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers and workout towels were not provided. Free water refill stations were available.
Upon arrival, there was a very calming and zen atmosphere, which was created through the use of several buddhas, mandala paintings, lit candles, live plants, and other Buddhist decor.
The changing rooms offered a wide range of amenities, all of which were carefully organized in aesthetically pleasing containers.
Digital And Technology
The website was informative and easy to navigate, although our evaluator did struggle to reschedule their class.
The club’s social media pages provided good insight into the client experience but were updated infrequently.
