What to Expect From A Body Fit Training Session
Body Fit Training (often abbreviated to “BFT”) is a functional strength and conditioning program that offers 13 different class types in a 50-minute format, led by multiple qualified and accredited coaches.
The weekly program at BFT offers both strength-focused sessions, as well as more cardio-heavy classes. For the cardio work, you can expect to use rowers, air bikes and Ski-Ergs, with dumbbells, slam balls and barbells some of the tools of choice for strength.
BFT’s program is periodized over 8-10 week blocks, built to train different energy systems in each session and with a focus on developing skills and technique.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the branch was smooth and helpful, leaving us feeling excited about the visit.
On arrival, the registration process was conducted at the back of the training floor as there was a class in progress, but an orientation was offered and the team was friendly.
After the class, the team was comfortable going through the package options.
The Class Experience
Body Fit Training Town Hall received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of Sydney’s stand-out offerings.
The coach during our visit was positive, upbeat and made a big effort to connect with us before the session. The class itself was well structured and the TV screens that displayed the exercises and workout structure helped keep the class flowing smoothly.
The coach offered personalized advice on form and technique throughout the session and rounded off a high-quality class experience by telling everyone about upcoming community events.
The Equipment And Studio
The equipment was of high quality and featured branding elements. The design of the studio was notable as the majority of the studio was either in black or blue - the BFT brand colors. The sound system used was of high quality and the space was well-lit.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Neither lockers nor towels were provided. Free water refill stations were available.
As we approached the studio there was a strong sense of arrival with the BFT brand displayed prominently. In the club, the public areas were fresh and comfortable, with a small waiting area at the back of the studio.
Digital And Technology
The heart rate monitoring technology used in the club was a stand-out feature, allowing class participants to keep track of how hard they were pushing.
The booking process was seamless and cancellation and penalty fees were explained clearly. Although, we would have liked to see information on the coaches on the website.
