The Highlights
The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the class itself, led by a confident and expert coach who had appeared to gain an almost cult following, due to his patient, non-judgemental style of coaching.
The sense of community also added to the experience.

What to Expect From A Grityard Session
The Grityard training concept is built around five pillars - Strength, Power, Agility, Core and Endurance. In the belief that everyone will have weak areas across these fitness fundamentals, the Grityard program of strength and conditioning aims to help its members develop all aspects and become an all-round athlete.
Class types include Fundamentals, which is a strongly recommended starting point and focuses on movement basics such as squats, pushes, pulls and hinges; Mobstrength, which combines mobility and strength work; Juggernaut, which is pure strength, and The Blitz, which incorporates HIIT, agility, speed and power drills.
Classes are typically 45 minutes long, with options for small group personal training available at the facility.
The Reception Service
It was not possible to contact the club by phone prior to the visit. On arrival, the process was a little confusing, but the departure service was much smoother. The coach did a great job of getting to know our evaluator in order to help them find the most suitable package and encouraged us to continue training at the club.
The Class Experience
Grityard received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of Singapore’s stand-out offerings.
Our coach was clearly very experienced and was able to confidently correct form. The workout was designed to be efficient, while placing emphasis on the various muscle groups required for each exercise. Assistance was provided in a patient, non-judgmental manner and it was clear that there were many regulars in the class, which gave a sense of community.
The Equipment And Studio
While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the well-lit studio was equipped and set up with everything required for the workout. The brand’s black colour scheme was evident throughout the space, consistent with the bootcamp concept.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Showers, lockers, and a water refill station did not appear to be provided. There were clear branding elements throughout the public spaces, however.
Digital And Technology
Our evaluator was easily able to make a booking using the simple and intuitive online platform. The website had a professional design and contained lots of useful information about the club and workout concept. An up-to-date class schedule was displayed on the club’s Instagram page.
Pricing
Grityard offers first-time clients an introductory seven-day unlimited trial for $35.
If you’re looking for a longer-term commitment, the unlimited membership is available for $290 per month.
Smaller commitment packages are also available, starting at 10 sessions for $250.
