What to Expect From A Freedom Yoga Session
The ‘freedom’ in the name alludes to a desire to offer “complete liberation” of mind and body and an experience that leaves you feeling energized and ready to take on the world.
Offering a wide range of class types, Freedom Yoga recommends that novice practitioners start with their Basics class to develop a strong foundation, before moving on to a Power or Freedom Flow session.
Warm Stretch is a hot yoga option, with Tranquil bringing a peaceful and centered vibe to the mix. Classes are typically 60 minutes long, with some 75-minute options for those that like a longer and deeper practice.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the club was informative and helpful and left us feeling ready for the session. On arrival, the instructor was also on receptionist duties. They checked us in efficiently and offered a brief orientation. After the class, the staff was comfortable answering questions on training and the space, with us leading the conversation.
The Class Experience
Freedom Yoga Holland Village received our Recommended rating for the Class Experience.
The group class experience was positive. We felt taken care of as a beginner to yoga and movements were delivered with careful explanations. This level of care helped us feel comfortable trying some more advanced movements. More personalized interactions would have helped improve the experience.
The Equipment And Studio
The training area was well-lit, with natural sunlight coming through the windows. The yoga mats were showing signs of wear and tear, however, and there could have been a stronger sense of brand.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Shower towels were available to rent for $2 SGD. Workout towels were not available. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were not available.
Showers and bathrooms were available in the branch, but the public areas were basic overall, without a distinctive sense of place or brand.
Digital And Technology
The website was informative and featured a comprehensive booking platform that was easy to navigate for a first-time client. There was a good level of communication via email and our evaluator felt ready for their class prior to attending.
