The BFT Story

BodyFit Training (commonly known as ‘BFT’), founded in 2017 by Cameron Falloon and Richard Burnet in Australia, is a leading fitness franchise that specializes in cardio and strength training.

Since its launch, BFT has experienced rapid expansion, with locations now spanning across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. BFT was acquired by Xponential Fitness in 2022 but as part of the acquisition deal, Bodyfit Training retained the rights to franchise the BFT brand globally, excluding North America. Operating on a franchise model, Bodyfit Training upholds fairness as a key value when operating with franchisees and clients.

How Did Body Fit Training Tanjong Pagar Score Overall

The full client experience at Body Fit Training Tanjong Pagar was very good, achieving The Fit Guide 4-Star Award.

The class was exceptional and the highlight of our visit, winning our highest accolade, our 5-Star Class Experience Award.

The Highlights

The class experience was a real highlight of our visit, with our coach laying the groundwork for a great session by really getting to know us on arrival. Once the class started, it ran like clockwork with the timers clearly displaying the intervals and the coaches interacting and encouraging us constantly.

What Our Evaluator Had To Say

“The coach was very friendly and did a great job of onboarding me before the class. This helped him and his fellow coach deliver a solid session.”

“The studio space was tight and compact, but layed out very efficiently which made good use of the space.”

The coaches pushed me to go harder - not mindlessly, but at just the right moments. One coach gave me a good target to go for on the bike.”

What to Expect From A Body Fit Training Session

Body Fit Training (often abbreviated to “BFT”) is a functional strength and conditioning program that offers 13 different class types in a 50-minute format, led by multiple qualified and accredited coaches.

The weekly program at BFT offers both strength focused sessions, as well as more cardio-heavy classes. For the cardio work, you can expect to use rowers, air bikes and Ski-Ergs, with dumbbells, slam balls and barbells some of the tools of choice for the strength.

BFT’s program is periodized over 8-10 week blocks, built to train different energy systems in each session and with a focus on developing skills and technique.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit call to the team was answered and provided good insight into the club. On arrival, the coach did a great job of showing us around the studio, despite there being only a very small area to check in and wait. After the session, the team was able to answer all of our questions and left us feeling very positive about our visit.

The Class Experience

Body Fit Training Tanjong Pagar has achieved The Fit Guide 5-Star Class Experience award for an outstanding class, putting it amongst the very best in Singapore and the industry.

The coach made a big effort to get to know us before the session, which helped them deliver a strong workout experience. They used our name throughout the session and ensured the workout was at the right level for us. Where needed, little pushes and targets were given, which were appropriate for our ability level.

We were encouraged to connect with those we were sharing our stations with which, coupled with the photo board, created a strong sense of community for our first time visit.

The Equipment And Studio

We were impressed by the range of equipment and the efficient use of the studio space. Although, some of the equipment and flooring showed signs of wear and tear.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Shower towels were provided free of charge. Workout towels were not available, but people were using shower towels in their workout. Lockers were not provided. Free water refill stations were available.

It was clear that the public areas were not a big focus of the club’s experience, with a small reception area and limited showers and changing space.

Digital And Technology

The heart rate monitoring technology used in the club was a stand-out feature, allowing class participants to keep track of how hard they were pushing. The booking process was seamless and cancellation and penalty fees were explained clearly.
