The BFT Story

BodyFit Training (commonly known as ‘BFT’), founded in 2017 by Cameron Falloon and Richard Burnet in Australia, is a leading fitness franchise that specializes in cardio and strength training.

Since its launch, BFT has experienced rapid expansion, with locations now spanning across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. BFT was acquired by Xponential Fitness in 2022 but as part of the acquisition deal, Bodyfit Training retained the rights to franchise the BFT brand globally, excluding North America. Operating on a franchise model, Bodyfit Training upholds fairness as a key value when operating with franchisees and clients.

How Did Body Fit Training Harbourfront Score Overall?

The full client experience at Body Fit Training Harbourfront was impressive, achieving The Fit Guide 4-Star Award.

The class was also outstanding and won our highest accolade, the 5-Star Class Experience Award.

The Highlights

The class experience was a strong stand out of the overall experience, with the two coaches doing a wonderful job of helping newcomers, pushing the regulars, and connecting people. This was especially impressive as the class was nearly full.

What Our Evaluator Had To Say

“There were two coaches in the session which helped us get a lot of attention. They made the effort to constantly check on our form and posture.”

There was a very strong sense of community in the club, with everyone seemingly knowing each other and an effort to involve me.”

“There was a friendly and fun atmosphere which the coaches helped to drive.”

What to Expect From A Body Fit Training Session

Body Fit Training (often abbreviated to “BFT”) is a functional strength and conditioning program that offers 13 different class types in a 50-minute format, led by multiple qualified and accredited coaches.

The weekly program at BFT offers both strength-focused sessions, as well more cardio-heavy classes. For the cardio work, you can expect to use rowers, air bikes, and Ski-Ergs, with dumbbells, slam balls, and barbells as some of the tools of choice for the strength parts.

BFT’s program is periodized over 8-10 week blocks, built to train different energy systems in each session and with a focus on developing skills and technique.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit calls to the branch went unanswered. On arrival, check-in was efficient and smooth, and an orientation of the space was offered. After the session, there were no further interactions as the coaches were busy with the next session. More personalized interactions would have helped improve the service.

The Class Experience

Body Fit Training Harbourfront has achieved The Fit Guide 5-Star Class Experience award for an exceptional class, putting it amongst the very best in Singapore and the industry.

The coaches - there were two of them on the day - did an outstanding job of delivering a well-structured, positive, and community-driven session. They encouraged the three people on each station to get to know each other which helped us feel more at ease. Knowing it was our first time, they helped us navigate the structure of the workout which otherwise would have been hard to follow.

The Equipment And Studio

The studio space was clean and in good condition, with high-quality branded kit. Even the weights and wall balls were BFT branded. The training area was well-lit, with floor-to-ceiling windows. There was a strong sense of brand throughout, with distinctive logos coupled with more discreet touches and detail.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Shower towels were provided free of charge, but workout towels were not available. Lockers were not available. Free water refill stations were available.

Digital And Technology

The heart rate monitoring technology used in the club was a stand-out feature, allowing class participants to know how hard they were pushing. The booking process was easy and cancellation and penalty fees were explained clearly by email.
