“The enthusiasm of the members and staff created a lively atmosphere.”
What to Expect From An Axiom Session
Axiom keenly states that they’re “serious about fun”, and promotes an approach that seeks progress over perfection. Offering both cycling and strength training concepts, their Ride cycling sessions come in two formats – Rhythm and Road.
Their Rhythm sessions are billed as a 50-minute full-body high-energy workout, cycling in time to the beat of the music. Road sessions are a cardiac-intensive 50 minutes, focusing on sprints, team challenges, and hill climbs. You’ll be using the stats on the monitor to track and adjust RPM and power output, with the Axiom trademark high-energy music still pumping.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit phone calls to the branch went unanswered. On arrival, the service was prompt and friendly, which helped us feel comfortable and ready for the session. After the session, the staff were busy, so we didn’t get an opportunity to enquire about packages and continued training.
The Class Experience
Axiom received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of Singapore’s stand-out offerings.
Our instructor created an atmosphere that was positive and engaging, offering encouragement throughout the class. They were also very clear on how to adjust the resistance and power level, which was useful for a first-time visitor.
Outside of the session, there were no interactions between the instructor and our evaluator.
The Equipment And Studio
The lighting effects and studio space were both impressive, and the bikes were from the market-leading Stages brand.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. There was no water refill station available.
The changing rooms were overall well-designed with branding touches throughout. All public areas were clean, but a little tight for space during busy periods.
Digital And Technology
The website was designed professionally and allowed for a very efficient booking process. The aesthetics of the website were consistent with the brand and provided good insight as to what training at the club would be like for new clients. The brand’s social media posts were of high quality and made frequently.
