The Absolute Story

Absolute You Boutique Fitness Studio was founded by Benjaporn Karoonkornsakul in 2002 in Bangkok, Thailand. Benjaporn, after a career in banking, found her passion in yoga and identified a young fitness industry in Thailand that was full of opportunity.

Initially focused on yoga, Absolute You expanded its offerings to include pilates and cycling as the brand developed. The company's philosophy revolves around providing a holistic approach to fitness, promoting overall well-being and balance.

Absolute You has grown to operate 11 clubs throughout Thailand and three in Singapore. Additionally, the company owns Absolute Sanctuary, a luxury wellness retreat on the Thai island of Koh Samui.

What to Expect From An Absolute Boutique Fitness Session

Absolute Pilates offers reformer-based classes focused on controlled movement, strength, balance and full-body conditioning. Expect smooth, technique-driven sequences with regressions and progressions for every level, plus clear demonstrations that help you understand each movement. Sessions are calm, steady and form-focused, with the instructor guiding the room continuously so everyone feels supported throughout the workout.

The Reception Service

Absolute Pilates, The Centrepoint welcomed us with a smooth and efficient check-in once we reached the desk. The team were friendly, polished and confident with the basics, making the registration process quick and accurate. Their tone stayed warm and professional, and the clear reconfirmation of our booking gave us an easy start to the visit.

The experience would have felt even stronger with more proactive guidance for first timers. We were not acknowledged while queuing, and we had to initiate questions to find out where to wait or how things worked. Departure closed on a friendly note, but there was no check-in on how we enjoyed the class, and the purchase process felt a little distracted. Still, the foundation of solid service was there, and the team kept the environment positive and welcoming.

The Class Experience

Absolute Boutique Fitness’ Centerpoint branch received The Fit Guide Class Experience Award of Excellence, making it one of Singapore’s stand-out offerings.

The class delivered a standout Pilates experience built on strong technical coaching. The instructor moved continuously around the room, offering clear demonstrations, thoughtful corrections and smooth verbal cues that made even complex movements feel approachable. Regressions and progressions were woven into every segment, helping us work at a level that felt safe and challenging without any pressure.

Before and after class, the touchpoints were more hands-off. There was no greeting for first timers, no introduction to the class structure and no post-class check-in, but the in-class attention more than made up for it. The flow stayed calm, supportive and easy to follow, and beginners would have felt well looked after thanks to the steady reminders to scale movements. The session was enjoyable, structured and delivered with genuine care for technique.

The Equipment And Studio

The studio made a great first impression with its clean, well-kept and fully stocked equipment. Everything was in excellent working order, including the Align-Pilates apparatus and other high-quality pieces that supported clients across different levels. The room layout was spacious and thoughtfully arranged, giving us plenty of comfort and safety as we moved through the session.

Natural light and a fresh, tidy training space created a pleasant environment to work out in. While the room did not feature strong brand visuals, the overall setting felt professional, consistent and maintained to a high standard. With no sound system used, the focus stayed on form and technique, which suited the quieter, more instructional nature of this Pilates class.

The Facilities And Public Areas

The public areas felt bright, polished and distinctly on brand from the moment we stepped inside. Signage was clear, the colour palette was cohesive and the combination of lighting, décor and layout created a sense of calm throughout the space. The waiting area was spacious and comfortable, making it an easy place to settle before class.

The changing rooms were neat and stocked with useful amenities, though some maintenance issues were noticeable, including puddles, a clogged sink and a tap that was out of order. Showers offered great pressure and temperature but could have been cleaner, with hair and water trails visible. Lockers and towels were convenient and well maintained, even if hangers were missing. Free water and a small drink selection rounded out the experience.

Digital And Technology

From booking to confirmation, the digital experience was smooth and easy to navigate. Both the website and app were intuitive, cleanly designed and packed with key information such as class types, schedules, bios and cancellation details. Payments were seamless, and confirmation emails arrived instantly, helping us feel prepared for our visit.

There were a few gaps, including the inability to add special requests during booking and a lack of current schedules on social channels. Response times on social media were slower than expected. The studio used Zingfit and had a branded app, but did not offer digital on-demand training or enhanced in-class technology. Even so, the overall digital journey felt reliable, accessible and aligned with the brand’s look and tone.
