What to Expect From A Mile High Run Club Session
Mile High Run Club (often abbreviated to MHRC) has, as you would expect from the name, a big focus on running. To support their commitment to New York's runners, they’ve invested in top-of-the-range Woodway treadmills which offer a rugged feel similar to outdoor running. Strength is an important element of being a good runner, so MHRC has added in resistance training into some of their sessions.
In DIRTY 30, their shortest session, you can expect to run 2-4 miles over 30 minutes; HIGH 45 is interval training over 45 minutes covering 3-6 miles and with their DISTANCE class, you’ll hit a full hour and roughly 5-7+ miles.
If you want to add strength work to your run, go for their 45-minute DASH STRENGTH class which mixes 30 minutes of interval running with 15 minutes of kettlebell and running-focused strength training.
The Reception Service
Our phone inquiry was handled professionally, with the receptionist offering clear information about booking a trial class online and answering the client’s questions.
Upon arrival, the receptionist greeted our evaluator promptly and acknowledged their status as a first-timer. Registration was efficient, and directions to key areas of the club were provided clearly. We didn't receive an unprompted orientation or guidance on where to wait before the class.
At departure, there was no follow-up effort to inquire about our class experience or provide information on continuing training.
The Class Experience
Mile High Run Club NoHo has receivedour Recommended Rating for the class experience.
Our coach led a well-structured and independent-style running session, perfect for those who enjoy setting their own pace. The class flowed smoothly with clear instructions, and the coach’s calm, professional demeanor made for a positive experience. Engaging music and a well-designed workout kept things both challenging and enjoyable.
While the approach was more hands-off, a bit more individual interaction—especially for first-timers—could have enhanced the experience. Overall, it was a practical and effective session, ideal for those who prefer a straightforward, no-frills workout.

The Equipment And Studio
The training room perfectly captured the club’s running-focused identity, with rows of top-tier Woodway treadmills taking center stage. Clean, fresh, and well-organized, the space was brought to life by dynamic lighting that synced with the music, adding energy and excitement to the workout.
While the cardio setup was impressive, the strength training area felt a bit secondary, with limited space making movement tricky in a full class. Still, the overall atmosphere was engaging and well-designed for a high-energy cardio session.

The Facilities And Public Areas
The club delivered a lively and welcoming vibe, with retro-inspired locker rooms and playful branding touches that added personality. The locker and grooming areas stood out, featuring bamboo-organized amenities and a stylish Moroccan tile floor, all within a clean and spacious layout. Thoughtful details like workout towels pre-placed on treadmills and complimentary water refill stations made the experience even smoother.
While the locker rooms impressed, the reception area lacked standout design elements to create a strong first impression. The showers were clean and functional but limited to just two stalls, which could be tricky during peak hours. The club’s attention to detail and fun branding made for an enjoyable and well-thought-out experience.

Digital And Technology
Booking was smooth and hassle-free through the website. Navigation was easy, cancellation options were clear, and confirmation emails arrived instantly, making the process smooth.
The website was polished and on-brand, with clean design, high-quality images, and an energetic, motivational tone. Emails were engaging and playful, reflecting the club’s personality, while social media captured the brand’s aesthetic—though updates weren’t as frequent. A branded app made bookings even more convenient, adding to the club’s well-integrated tech experience.
