The Reception Service
The pre-arrival call was handled professionally and clearly. During our anonymous evaluation, the reception staff were overall friendly and helpful, and appeared pleased to be helping and engaging with clients. Personalizing the service would have helped the team make a stronger connection with clients.
The Class Experience
Cyclebar Flatiron has received The Fit Guide’s Recommended rating for its notable class experience.
Both the music and the coach were energetic, and a good effort was made to check in with first timers before the session started. The aims of the class were explained well, with the coach instructing the class on how to find the beat of the music, how to adjust resistance and how the technology worked.
The Equipment And Studio
The cycling studio was clean and we appreciated the lighting effects that the coach could change to match the beat of the music. The back row of bikes were tight up against the back wall with limited space, so avoid this area if you’re tall.
The Facilities And Public Areas
We found the changing areas to be spacious, clean and functional. The public areas carry a minimalist style with some interesting light and design features. All the basics were covered but there are only a limited number of amenities available.
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
Digital And Technology
Cyclebar used a performance tracking system with power meters on the bike and stats displayed on the screen. Whilst this was fun and motivating, the instructor only periodically and briefly shows the stats on the screen. This appeared to be with the aim of keeping the focus less about the performance.
We found the website functional and informative, but more details could have been provided during the booking process to help us feel prepared for our visit.
Cyclebar offers a ‘first ride free’ promo on their website for new clients.
