The flow of the class was very smooth, and the coach personalized the experience well. We liked the design of the studio and the inclusion of branding elements, which created a great atmosphere in the club.

“I loved the music - it was very upbeat and motivating!”
What To Expect From A Barre3 Session
Barre3 is one of the most well-known brands in the barre space, offering an efficient and effective workout that brings in elements of strength, cardio, and mindfulness. The Barre3 instructors are trained to ensure their workouts are at the right level for everyone, offering modification options for all ability levels.
In a typical Barre3 class, you can expect all the usual elements, such as the ballet barre, exercise balls, and body weight movements, but the community at barre3 is about so much more than just movement, standing strongly for empowerment, connection, and valuing individuality.
The Reception Service
Our evaluators were welcomed by a reception team that were both friendly and knowledgeable on what Barre3 is about. They could answer questions easily and did a good job of talking through the training options after the session. Whilst we did feel welcome, a tour of the facilities would have helped round off a great experience.
The Class Experience
Barre3 West Village received The Fit Guide’s 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of New York’s stand-out offerings.
Our instructor learned our name and used it throughout the class, which she delivered in a confident and assured manner. She gave us her close attention, offering adjustments to make the movements easier or harder as required. More movement around the room to observe the class from different angles would have improved the class experience.
The Equipment And Studio
Both the studio and equipment were overall clean and in good condition, with a lot of natural light streaming into the studio. Everything functioned well, but some of the dumbbells were a little worn, which made the numbers hard to read.
The Facilities And Public Areas
The facilities and public areas were clean with two rooms for changing and a wide selection of amenities available. However, there were no showers at the club.
Workout towels were not provided at the club. Free water refill stations were available. Lockers were not provided, only cubby holes.
Digital And Technology
The club’s website offered a smooth and easy-to-use booking process and app, as well as presenting a strong picture of barre3’s message and values. We would, however, liked to have seen information on the different coaches at the club before visiting.
