What to Expect From An F45 Brickell Session
Classes at F45 Brickell are 45 minutes long and combine functional strength and cardio exercises in a circuit-style format. The studio runs a rotating weekly schedule, with strength sessions on some days (such as Resistance and Renegade) and cardio-based workouts on others (like Athletica and Panthers). Hybrid sessions such as Hollywood are also featured, mixing both styles into one class.
Each session is led by two coaches and supported by digital screens that display demonstrations, timing, and progressions. The environment is structured but welcoming, with upbeat music, professional equipment, and a focus on form correction and support for participants of all fitness levels.
The Reception Service
From the moment we arrived at F45 Brickell, the energy felt upbeat and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, handled with friendly professionalism that set a positive tone for the visit. Although there was a brief technical hiccup with the waiver system, staff handled it with ease and ensured everything was ready for class time. While no orientation or tour was offered, we were made to feel at ease and looked after from the outset.
After class, the warm and approachable team checked in to see how we enjoyed the session and asked if we planned to come back before our trial period ended. The interaction felt genuine and enthusiastic, giving us a sense that the team cared about our experience and wanted to see us again.
Overall, the service at F45 Brickell struck a strong balance between efficiency and friendliness. A bit more personalisation during arrival, such as a short orientation or use of our name, would have elevated the experience further, but the upbeat and engaging tone throughout left us with a positive impression.
The Class Experience
F45 Brickel received The Fit Guide Class Experience Award of Excellence.
The class was high-energy, motivating, and full of team spirit. With two coaches leading the session, we felt supported throughout and could easily follow the workout structure. Both instructors demonstrated the exercises clearly, while digital screens reinforced the guidance with form examples and countdown timers. The workout was well-organised, with challenging circuits, clear breaks, and consistent encouragement from the coaching team.
As a first-time participant, we appreciated that the instructors checked in, corrected form where needed, and offered progressions for more advanced moves. The music was perfectly matched to the intensity of the class, keeping energy levels high from start to finish.
By the end, we left feeling strong, motivated, and like we’d had a seriously effective workout. A short cooldown or stretch segment would have been a welcome finishing touch, but overall, it was a fun and powerful team-based session that lived up to F45’s reputation for energy and intensity.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio space reflected the signature F45 brand perfectly, with bold colours, strong logo placement, and an athletic layout that created a sense of focus and motivation. All cardio and strength equipment was in excellent condition, clean, and clearly maintained to a high standard.
We appreciated the convenience of having everything set up and ready before class, from dumbbells to mats and resistance tools. The branded elements across the weights, kettlebells, and medicine balls added polish and consistency to the experience.
While the flooring and track showed a little wear and the walls could benefit from some touch-ups, the overall space still felt energetic, functional, and aligned with the brand’s modern, performance-driven aesthetic.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Public spaces at F45 Brickell carried the same professional branding seen throughout the studio, but they could use a bit more polish. The locker and grooming areas were functional and clean but lacked the elevated touches found in some other premium studios we've visited. The amenities were minimal, with only cotton buds available, and the grooming station could have been neater.
The bathrooms and showers, however, were clean and in good working order, providing good water pressure and reliable hot water. Complimentary workout towels were offered, which was a nice touch, though shower towels were not provided.
While safety and basic comfort were ensured, a few details—such as improved amenity presentation, tidier walls, and an overall refresh of the changing areas—would bring the space more in line with the studio’s otherwise strong brand image.
Digital And Technology
Booking a class at F45 Brickell was easy thanks to the Mindbody platform, which was intuitive and user-friendly. The studio’s website reflected the global F45 brand well, with energetic visuals, clear information on class types, and straightforward online purchasing.
That said, post-booking communication could be improved. We received only a payment receipt, with no confirmation or onboarding information ahead of the visit. Details about trial cancellation were only provided after purchase, which made the process feel less transparent.
Inside the studio, the use of digital screens was a standout feature, displaying exercise demos and timers that enhanced the class flow and clarity. Combined with the professional website and branded app, the digital tools captured the essence of F45’s tech-forward training approach, even if the communication side could use a small boost.
