The Run Club Story

Run Club is a Melbourne-based treadmill training studio founded in 2018 by sisters Caitlin Duncan and Rylie McLoughlin. Located in Cremorne, the studio focuses on structured indoor running sessions designed to deliver consistency regardless of weather conditions.

Often described as “spin class for running,” Run Club offers programmed treadmill formats such as Express 30, Power 45, and Endurance 60, catering to a range of fitness levels. Sessions emphasize interval work, hill training, and technical cues to support speed and efficiency.

In addition to running, the studio integrates Reformer Pilates into its schedule to build strength and injury resilience for runners. Run Club has also expanded into digital engagement through its app and into corporate wellness partnerships within Melbourne’s tech and business community.

What to Expect From A Run Club Cremorne Session

Run Club Cremorne delivers treadmill-based run sessions built around structured interval blocks and guided pacing. Expect a mix of steady efforts and higher-intensity intervals, with clear timing displayed throughout. Sessions focus on endurance, speed and conditioning in a straightforward, performance-driven indoor format suitable for both newer and experienced runners.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit calls to the club were not answered. In studio, the experience was stronger. We were greeted promptly, acknowledged as first timers and checked in efficiently. A clear walkthrough covered lockers, showers and treadmill setup, which helped us feel prepared before class.

After the session, there was a friendly check-in and mention of other classes to try. Service remained polite and professional, though discussion around our goals was limited and we weren't encouraged to book another session.

The Class Experience

Run Club Cremorne received our Recommended Rating.

The session was structured and easy to follow. The warm-up was appropriately paced, the training focus was explained at the start and timings were clear throughout. Early arrival and treadmill induction helped set expectations clearly.

During the main workout, coaching was more hands-off. The coach spent much of the session positioned behind participants and referred to notes on their phone. Active observation was limited, no form corrections were given and assistance with treadmill controls was minimal. The cooldown was structured and the class finished on time with a polite follow-up.

The Equipment And Studio

The treadmills were clean, professional grade and in excellent working condition. Equipment was well spaced and the layout suited the class format.

The studio was fresh and maintained, with clean surfaces and energising LED lighting. The sound system was clear and branding was visible throughout. The space felt polished and functional.

The Facilities And Public Areas

The club was easy to find and made a strong impression on entry. The waiting area was spacious with rugs, cushions and balanced lighting creating a relaxed feel. Navigation through the space was simple.

Changing and wet areas were clean and maintained. Showers and toilets were hygienic with reliable water pressure, and amenities were neatly presented. The changing area was compact with limited bench space. Lockers did not include locks or hangers, and complimentary shower towels were not provided. Hairdryers were not available. Beverage options included free water and paid drinks, with no food offerings.

Digital And Technology

Booking online was smooth. Classes and packages could be purchased easily, confirmation emails were prompt and cancellation policies were clearly displayed. Pre-visit instructions around arrival timing and onboarding were limited.

The website was mobile friendly and aligned with the brand’s messaging. Schedules and descriptions were clear, and lead capture triggered follow-up emails. Coach bios were not included. Social media was active and visually consistent. There was no branded app or additional technology beyond standard scheduling tools.
