The CorePlus Story

CorePlus was founded in 2015 by Amy and Michael King, growing from a single Melbourne studio into one of Australia’s largest boutique fitness franchise networks. The brand now operates more than 30 studios nationally, with a strong presence in Melbourne and additional locations across Queensland, South Australia, and New South Wales.

CorePlus combines Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, and Yoga under one roof, positioning itself as a multi-modality boutique concept. The studio model incorporates infrared-heated classes, alongside Athletic Reformer sessions and strength-focused formats set to curated playlists.

Operating under a franchise structure, CorePlus has expanded interstate and into international markets, while also building out its digital platform and proprietary education arm. The brand positions itself around sustainable movement, community connection, and scalable studio systems.

What to Expect From A CorePlus Richmond Session

CorePlus Richmond delivers heated and non-heated sessions blending yoga, Pilates and strength training. Expect structured classes that build gradually through breath work, controlled movement and strength-focused sequences. Sessions are accessible with options to scale intensity. The style balances physical effort with a steady pace in a consistent, organised format.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit calls to the studio were not answered. In person, the experience was efficient and smooth. We were acknowledged as first timers and checked in quickly, with a clear orientation covering lockers, showers and the studio layout. It was easy to get settled.

Interactions during our check in were polite but not personalised. At departure, package options were discussed confidently when raised and overall service was professional and welcoming.

The Class Experience

The class was calm, structured and easy to follow. Instruction was clear and well paced, supported by strong demonstrations. Progressions were offered and the breath-led rhythm created a steady flow. Delivery was composed and technically sound.

No injury check was conducted, pre-class engagement was limited and names were not used during the session. Individual encouragement and form feedback were minimal, and there was no follow-up with us after the class, as first timers.

The Equipment And Studio

The studio was clean, organised and functional. Equipment was well spaced and arranged to allow safe movement. Floors, walls and ceilings were well maintained, and temperature supported the session.

Lighting and sound were adequate and professional. Branding was subtle and design features were limited, resulting in a practical rather than visually distinctive environment.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Public areas were clean and orderly. The studio was easy to locate with clear signage. Branding appeared through slogans and retail items, though the overall design felt standard.

The waiting area was tight, with seating positioned close to lockers, creating congestion before class. Changing and grooming areas were clean but undersized, with limited amenities and no hairdryers. Showers and toilets were in good condition but shower products were not provided. Lockers were secure and well maintained. Workout towels were available but not complimentary.

Digital And Technology

Booking online via website and app was straightforward. Payments processed smoothly, confirmations were prompt and cancellation policies and arrival instructions were clearly communicated. We felt prepared before arrival.

The website was mobile friendly and easy to navigate, with class types, schedules and directions clearly displayed. Instructor bios were not included. Newsletter sign-up did not trigger follow-up communication. The digital experience was reliable and aligned with the brand.
