What to Expect From A Club Pilates Glen Waverley Session

Club Pilates is an established and popular workout that offers full-body sessions on Reformer-based classes. While sessions are focused around the Reformer, other tools such as TRX and Triggerpoint rollers are used to help build strength and improve mobility and stability.

Everyone is offered a 30-minute intro class for free to better understand the benefits and technique involved with the Reformer. Class types include the more strength based Reformer Flow, the fast-paced Cardio Sculpt and the interval training concept F.I.T.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit calls to the studio were not answered. In person, the experience felt mixed. We were not acknowledged immediately on arrival, and registration took longer than expected due to confusion around the introductory class requirement. Once clarified, we were shown around in an unrushed and helpful way.

Interactions stayed polite and professional. Pricing and packages were explained clearly when asked, though conversations were largely reactive. We were not asked how we found the class and there was no clear invitation to return, but the service adequately covered the basics.

The Class Experience

Club Pilates Glen Waverley received our Class Experience Award of Excellence.

The class was solid and well delivered. We were acknowledged as a first timer and given a clear induction on the springboard setup, which built confidence early. Instructions were concise, demonstrations were clear and the pace was steady and controlled.

Coaching stood out during the main workout. There were regular walk arounds, consistent form corrections and progressions that were tailored to us. The flow felt smooth and transitions were clear. The class finished on time with a structured cooldown and space for questions. The opening was brief and personalisation was limited, though overall the delivery was professional.

The Equipment And Studio

Balanced Body reformers were in excellent condition, well spaced and fully stocked. Equipment felt safe, functional and ready to use.

The studio was bright and well maintained, with clean floors, walls and ceilings and a comfortable temperature throughout. Branding appeared through mirror messaging and slogans. The sound system relied on a smaller speaker, which reduced overall audio presence. The design was clean and practical without strong architectural features.

The Facilities And Public Areas

The studio was easy to find, with pastel blue tones and consistent signage creating a cohesive identity. The waiting area was spacious and neatly presented, and a scented humidifier added a pleasant touch. Safety signage was clear and the space felt orderly.

There was no dedicated changing room, with only the toilet available for privacy, and this area felt cluttered. Showers were clean and functional but did not include toiletries. Lockers were clean and well sized but had no doors or locks, and towels were not available. Visual branding was consistent throughout the space.

Digital And Technology

Booking was straightforward online and the website was mobile friendly and aligned with the brand’s visual style. Class schedules, directions and terms were clearly displayed, and the free first-class offer was prominent.

No booking confirmation email was received and arrival time and cancellation penalties were not clearly communicated. Social media was active and visually consistent.
