ATÒRA - Cremorne

ATÒRA - Cremorne

Melbourne, Australia

The ATÒRA Story

ATÓRA Training was founded in 2022 by Paige Lake, launching first in Queensland before expanding into Melbourne. The brand operates multiple locations across Queensland, with a single Victorian site in Cremorne.

ATÓRA delivers structured, performance-based group training built around three core program streams: STRONG (progressive overload and resistance training), LEAN (conditioning-focused sessions), and FIT (a hybrid of strength and aerobic capacity). Programming runs in defined training blocks, supported by a proprietary app that tracks performance metrics and progression.

The studio environment is non-heated and positioned around structured strength and conditioning rather than trend-driven formats. Some locations incorporate recovery facilities such as infrared saunas and ice baths. The brand also hosts the annual ATÓRA Games, a community-based competition testing strength and endurance.

What to Expect From An ATÒRA Cremorne Session

ATÓRA Cremorne delivers structured strength-based group training focused on controlled lifting and progressive overload. Expect coached sessions organised into planned blocks with clear demonstrations and close attention to technique. Movements can be scaled up or down based on experience. The atmosphere is performance driven and welcoming for beginners.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit calls to the club were not answered. In person, the welcome was strong. We were greeted promptly, acknowledged as first timers and checked in quickly. Even without a formal reception desk, the process felt organised. The class format and layout were explained clearly, and we were shown lockers and facilities. Arriving early felt comfortable, with an invitation to warm up on the bikes or use foam rollers.

After class, the team asked how we found the session and showed interest in our background and training experience. A suitable next class was suggested and package options were explained when discussed.

The Class Experience

ATÒRA Cremorne received our Class Experience Award of Excellence.

Class delivery was a highlight. The coach learned and used our name, creating a relaxed and encouraging environment. Instructions were clear, demonstrations were easy to follow and the structure felt organised. The coach stayed present on the floor, offering form corrections, answering questions and checking in regularly.

The workout flowed steadily with attention to individual technique. Alternatives were offered where needed and adjustments were delivered discreetly. The session finished on time and the coach remained available afterwards. There was no formal cooldown or defined wrapping up of the class.

The Equipment And Studio

Strength equipment was clean, well maintained and professional grade, with reputable brands throughout. Equipment was fully stocked and spaced well, allowing comfortable movement between exercises. Layout supported smooth transitions.

The environment felt fresh and practical. Temperature and lighting were appropriate, and the space was clean and safe. Branding was visible through illuminated signage and floor details. Small rubber floor pieces were noticeable in some areas. The design leaned functional rather than architectural.

The Facilities And Public Areas

The club was easy to find with clear branding and a prominent illuminated logo. Public areas felt orderly and professional, with clear signage and straightforward navigation.

Waiting space was tight with minimal seating. There was no dedicated changing area beyond the toilets, and amenities were basic. Bathrooms and showers were clean, though shampoo and conditioner were not provided. Lockers were clean and practical but did not include locks, hangers or towels. Food and beverage options were limited to complimentary water.

Digital And Technology

Booking through the website and branded app was smooth and easy to navigate. Purchasing sessions, selecting classes and making payments worked without issue. Confirmation emails arrived promptly with clear arrival guidance.

The website reflected the brand clearly with straightforward navigation and visible calls to action. Class information was easy to understand. Email communication was timely and aligned with brand tone, and social media was active and consistent. Technology extended primarily to booking and communication tools.
