The Reception Service

The phone call was informative, with the team member explaining the class structure, the difference between Lagree and Reformer Pilates, and offering helpful recommendations for first-timers. They also guided us through the app setup and shared practical details like parking validation and shower availability.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, though it wasn’t initially recognized as our first visit. A more proactive orientation would have helped us feel more prepared. The check-in was smooth and efficient, and the environment was calm and professional.

After class, the team member asked about our experience and clearly explained the package options, offering to break down the per-class pricing. While helpful, there was no encouragement to return or tailoring of recommendations. A bit more personalization, like asking about our goals, would have been appreciated. Overall, the reception was pleasant and competent.

The Class Experience

The Studio (MDR) Playa Vista received our Class Experience Award of Excellence.

The coach was professional, passionate, and experienced. They welcomed us, asked about our experience, and gave a helpful introduction to the Megaformer. Throughout the class, they monitored form, offered hands-on corrections, and provided regressions and progressions for different levels.

The class was energetic, with smooth pacing and motivating music. While the delivery was confident, there were missed touchpoints, such as no formal class introduction or cooldown. However, the coach’s encouragement and technique guidance were consistent, and they connected with everyone in the room.

The atmosphere was upbeat, and we left feeling challenged and well taken care of.
