The Reception Service
The phone inquiry was informative, with the staff member clearly explaining the class format, equipment, facilities, and membership options. While she didn’t ask personal questions, her enthusiasm and knowledge made a strong impression and left us excited for the visit.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and acknowledged as first-timers. The staff member didn’t introduce herself by name but provided a thorough orientation, explaining the class format, heart rate monitor usage, lockers, and introducing us to the coach. Registration took a little over five minutes but felt smooth and fitting for the Orangetheory experience.
After class, the staff walked us through membership options and explained the cost per class. There was no hard sell or follow-up about our fitness needs, but the tone was friendly and engaging. The service was professional and welcoming, though a bit more personalization—like using our names or asking about our goals—would have made it even better.

The Class Experience
Orangetheory Brentwood received The Fit Guide Five-Star Class Experience Award making it one of the best of the best in LA.
From the moment we arrived, our coach created a welcoming and professional environment, greeting us by name and asking about our workout preferences. The session started on time and was led with clarity and care, with the class structure clearly explained and everything—from stations to music—thoughtfully set up.
The workout was well-paced, balancing strength, endurance, and cardio. The coach offered clear instructions, personalized encouragement, and form adjustments throughout. First-timers received extra attention, with modifications and check-ins provided during and after the session. Her energy kept the group engaged and supported.
After class, we reviewed our performance results in a friendly and professional manner. The session flowed smoothly, with great music, a positive group atmosphere, and a strong sense of community. We left feeling both challenged and personally cared for—an almost flawless experience.

The Equipment And Studio
Both the strength and cardio equipment were spotless, in excellent condition, and top-notch. The FreeMotion and WaterRower machines offered a smooth workout, while the signature orange accents and sleek design gave the space an energetic, polished feel.
The training area was clean, fresh, and well-maintained, with enough equipment for all fitness levels. The layout was spacious, allowing for safe, free movement. The lighting, including bold orange ceiling tiles, enhanced the atmosphere and tied in perfectly with the brand’s vibe.
The setup and environment really elevated the workout experience. With high-quality gear, a thoughtfully designed space, and attention to detail, this studio was a standout for both function and style.

The Facilities And Public Areas
The studio was easy to spot, with clear signage and logo decals on the windows and doors. Inside, the bright orange accent walls, founder quotes, and branded retail items gave the space a vibrant, polished feel that matched the energy of the brand.
Lockers were conveniently located near the front desk, clean, and in excellent condition, though they didn’t have hangers. The waiting area was comfortable and well-lit, with plenty of seating. Restrooms and grooming areas were tidy and stocked with useful amenities like deodorant, hand sanitizer, and hair ties, all neatly arranged. The showers were spotless, in great condition, with high-quality products, good water pressure, and consistent temperature. However, there were no hairdryers or towels provided.
Free water refills were available, and bottled water and Celsius drinks could be purchased, but no food or snacks were offered. Overall, the studio’s strong branding, comfort, and cleanliness made a great impression.

Digital And Technology
Booking a session at Orangetheory Brentwood was smooth and easy. The website and app worked flawlessly, allowing us to purchase single sessions and check upcoming bookings. The confirmation email was prompt and included helpful advice to arrive 30 minutes early. However, we couldn’t find any info on late cancellation fees or penalties, which would have been useful.
The club’s digital branding was on point—from the logo-filled, orange-accented emails to the welcoming tone of the website. Social media was a standout, with regular, engaging posts that gave us a good sense of the in-studio vibe. While coach bios and quicker access to the class schedule would have been helpful, the brand's personality and values still came through clearly.
A key highlight was OTbeat, Orangetheory’s heart rate tracking system. It provided real-time performance data during class and a detailed post-class summary, adding a personalized, data-driven touch to the experience.
