The Highlights

The post-class performance summary was a nice tech-driven bonus, adding a personalized touch that rounded out the experience.

What Our Evaluator Had To Say

“It felt more like a spin concert than a class—our coach was dancing, singing, and had the whole room fired up and cheering.”

“The post-class performance summary was a cool surprise. I didn’t expect detailed stats on everything from calories to RPMs, but it made the experience feel personalized.”

“Everything was dialed in—the lighting, signage, playlists—it all matched the brand vibe perfectly. You could feel the CycleBar energy the whole way through.”

What to Expect From A CycleBar Culver City Session

CycleBar offers a high-energy indoor cycling experience built around music, performance, and community. With a range of class formats—like Classic, Connect, Strength, Empower, and Xpress—there’s something for every type of rider, whether you're focused on rhythm, endurance, or just getting a good sweat in.

Each ride is powered by CycleBeats, their music system that keeps the energy high, and CycleStats, which sends personalized performance metrics after class. Instructors bring serious energy, mixing motivation with DJ-level playlist skills to keep the vibe strong and the room moving.

It’s a polished, music-driven setup that blends structure with fun—and gives you the stats to track your progress after every ride.

The Reception Service

There was no answer when we called, so we relied on the digital booking process and in-person support once we arrived.

At the studio, the front desk team greeted us warmly and acknowledged it was our first visit. The receptionist asked about our fitness background and clearly explained check-in and bike setup. She pointed out where to find key areas, though didn’t walk us through the space. Her upbeat energy helped set a positive tone to start the visit.

On the way out, a different staff member was on duty. While she was friendly and held the door for us, she didn’t ask how the class went or offer any next steps. We had to lead the conversation around class types and memberships, though once we asked, she explained the options clearly and even suggested a class to try next time.

The Class Experience

CycleBar Culver City received The Fit Guide Five-Star Class Experience Award making it one of LA's stand-out offerings.

Our coach was upbeat, engaging, and made a strong first impression—introducing herself, learning our name, and helping us get set up while explaining how to adjust the bike for future rides. Her warm energy and clear guidance made us feel comfortable right away and set a fun, inclusive tone.

During the ride, she brought a full concert vibe—singing, dancing, and keeping the room pumped with nonstop encouragement. She gave clear RPM and resistance cues while reminding everyone to ride at their own pace, striking a great balance between motivation and support. Some movements, like “third position” and the use of arm weights, could’ve used a bit more explanation, but her energy and presence kept the class flowing.

She closed out the session with a structured cooldown and positive send-off, then checked in with us personally afterward. The group vibe was strong, and the way she connected with both newcomers and regulars really stood out.

The Equipment And Studio

The Schwinn bikes and weighted bars were in top shape, and the entire space—from the floors to the walls—was spotless and well-kept. Branded bikes were neatly arranged, making it easy to find our spot while keeping the room looking sharp and organized.

The lighting system was a clear standout. Colors shifted to match the energy of each track, adding to the atmosphere and making the ride feel even more immersive. CycleBar’s branding was everywhere it needed to be, from the bikes and walls to a glowing neon sign at the front of the room.

With the music pumping through a solid sound system and a tiered layout that gave off concert vibes, the space didn’t just set the stage—it elevated the whole experience.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Public areas at CycleBar Culver City delivered a strong, on-brand experience. Custom wallpaper, motivational phrases, red lighting, and sleek merch displays gave the space a bold, energetic vibe from the moment we walked in. Locker areas were clean and organized, and staff were friendly and professional. Bathrooms and showers were well-maintained and stocked with toiletries and branded towels, all free of charge.

That said, there were a few areas that could use improvement. The shared, gender-neutral facilities had limited privacy and seating, and amenities felt a bit scattered. We ran into a short wait for showers post-class, and towel availability was hit or miss. The towel disposal setup also felt a bit clunky and too exposed.

Overall, the space was clean, lively, and full of personality—but with a few layout and stocking tweaks, it could feel even more polished and premium.

Digital And Technology

The digital experience at CycleBar Culver City was smooth and well put together. Booking through the website and app was quick and intuitive, with bold, on-brand design, easy navigation, and clear class descriptions that made sign-up simple. Branded emails and texts helped set expectations with arrival details and cancellation policies, and the branding carried through nicely in both look and tone.

A standout feature was the personalized post-class performance summary, which broke down ride stats like calories, RPM, watts, and class rank—a fun and motivating tech touch. Social media was active and aligned with the in-studio vibe, offering helpful glimpses into classes and studio life.

While coach bios were missing from the site, the digital journey as a whole was efficient, branded, and engaging—especially with the added bonus of post-class data.
