What to Expect From A SoulCycle - Notting Hill Session
SoulCycle is a premium indoor cycling offering that delivers soulful, music-driven rides in a fun and nightclub-like environment. Their “boundary-pushing” workout is designed to uplift and empower in an environment that’s inclusive and non-judgmental. During the class, everyone cycles in time with the beat of the music, creating an in-sync unity and vibe that’s made it world-renowned.
They often do themed rides featuring particular artists, for example, you might find a Beyonce Vs Jay-Z class, and each instructor becomes well-known for their music selection.
If you’re a first timer to SoulCycle, we recommend seeking out a class or instructor that you vibe with and shares your taste in music.

The Reception Service
Our call to the studio was answered promptly, and we felt welcomed right away. The receptionist shared helpful information about the class format, amenities, and how to book, and expressed genuine interest in our visit.
On arrival, we were greeted promptly and recognized as a first-timer, which led to a helpful and unrushed orientation of the space. Key areas like the studio, changing rooms, water station, and locker setup were pointed out, and the overall check-in experience was smooth and efficient. The service was friendly and on point.
After class, the receptionist was cheerful and engaged, creating a great final impression. She told us about the coach and class schedule and offered advice on memberships when we asked. Although there was no proactive attempt to recommend next steps, we left feeling appreciated and looking forward to trying another class.

The Class Experience
SoulCycle Notting Hill received our Class Experience Award of Excellence.
The one hour flew by thanks to our coach's upbeat, infectious energy. From the moment she welcomed everyone in, she kept the mood light and motivating, reminding us to enjoy the ride and take everything at our own pace. Her bubbly personality, playful cheers, and occasional dance breaks off the bike brought a contagious sense of fun to the room.
The flow of the session was smooth and easy to follow, with clear instructions and a well‑paced warm‑up that set the tone. While our coach didn’t connect with first timers or ask about injuries, she explained the class structure well, offered friendly shout‑outs to regulars, and made sure everyone felt included. Individual form checks were missing, but her guidance from the front of the room kept things on track and the atmosphere high‑energy.
As the class wrapped up, the cooldown felt calm and well‑structured, easing the group out of the intensity without breaking the positive vibe. The coach stayed around afterward for anyone who wanted to chat, and while there wasn’t a direct follow‑up for first timers, her enthusiasm left the session feeling like more than just a workout.

The Equipment And Studio
The studio made a strong impression, striking a balance between accommodating such a large group and maintaining a comfortable, spacious feel. Even with plenty of riders in the room, it never felt crowded or stuffy, and the fresh atmosphere set the stage for a great session. The candles on the front platform added a warm visual element and a light, relaxing scent, while the back feature wall with its seafront-inspired design gave a unique and uplifting vibe to the space.
Every piece of equipment looked immaculate and ready for action. The bikes and hand weights were spotless, in excellent condition, and carried the club’s branding, adding to the polished, professional feel. Everything was fully stocked and thoughtfully spaced, making it easy to move around.
The overall design tied the experience together beautifully. The lighting was bright and energizing, the sound system delivered crisp, powerful audio, and the branded details around the room reinforced the brand identity.

The Facilities And Public Areas
The public areas were clean and fresh, with some nice branding touches. While there weren’t many standout design features, the layout was easy to navigate, and the changing rooms offered plenty of space.
Lockers with simple combination locks were provided, and both workout and shower towels were complimentary. The showers were plentiful and spotless, with strong water pressure. Amenities like hand wash, deodorant, and hair ties were provided, but the way they were presented felt a little scattered, which made it unclear at first if some items were for us to use.
A complimentary water refill station was available, though there were no additional drinks, snacks, or smoothie bar options.

Digital And Technology
Booking a class was straightforward, with both one-off sessions and packages available online and payment possible through the website or app. The website itself felt professional, on-brand, and easy to navigate, with clear schedules, coach bios, and a helpful first-timer page that spelled out what to bring and when to arrive.
The website reflected the brand well, with clean design, consistent tone, and links to active social media pages that post multiple times a week. Instagram and Facebook were particularly informative, showing class schedules, booking info, and plenty of images that captured the experience authentically. Automatic emails included the logo and branding, though they felt generic rather than personal, and the site didn’t send a follow-up email after newsletter sign-up.
