How Did Ride Republic Score Overall?
The full client experience at Ride Republic was excellent, achieving The Fit Guide 4-Star Award.
The class was also very good, winning our Class Experience 4-Star Class Experience Award.
The Highlights
The class was a strong highlight of the experience, with a fun and motivating instructor. The experience was supported with proprietary tracking technology.
What Our Evaluator Had To Say
“The Burn Board tracking technology was a cool feature which I found motivating.”
“The staff member that greeted me on arrival was very friendly, which gave me the perfect start to the session!”
“The instructor gave us due warning that the class would be tough at times, with a series of hills and speed challenges.”
What To Expect From A Ride Republic Session
Ride Republic’s Burn 45 session has less focus on the rhythm and movements, more focus on metrics, data and performance. Their bespoke “BurnBoard’ technology displays your output on a class leaderboard to motivate and push you harder, with the option to go anonymous if you’d prefer.
Although they promise “no dancing on a bike” and there are no hand weight sequences, you can still expect banging tunes and a motivating coach to power some big numbers.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the branch was excellent. The staff member answered all of our queries and was knowledgeable and professional while doing so.
In the club on arrival, the male staff member that greeted us was enthusiastic, noted that it was our first time and said that they were always welcoming new riders. This was a great start. On leaving, our interaction lacked the same level of delight and energy, and on enquiring about the package options we were told to go to the website.
The Class Experience
Ride Republic received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of London’s stand-out offerings.
The class was fun and well-structured, with the instructor bringing a positive vibe and energy to the room. It started well, with a strong introduction to the session and an indication of what to expect. He was also very encouraging, reminding us how great we would feel after class.
As a first time rider at this studio, more connection with the instructor before and after the class would have helped improve our experience.
The Equipment And Studio
The workout space felt clean and fresh and the bikes were in excellent condition. The bikes were from premium brand Schwinn.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
The waiting area was pleasant, with the club branding on the walls. The changing area was large but with a limited range of amenities.
Digital And Technology
The booking process was intuitive and easy to navigate, although features such as confirmation emails and information regarding late penalties were missing. The website is designed well and has a sleek minimalist feel to it.
The concept used live performance tracking technology called the ‘Burn Board’, which displayed effort and points earned up on the scoreboard. This was a good motivator.
