What To Expect From A Psycle Ride Session
Psycle has developed a reputation for hosting some of London’s most energetic and charismatic instructors - a key ingredient for a great cycling class. Psycle’s approach is rhythm cycling to the beat of the music, with the sound system and lights completing a special, immersive experience.
Class options are based on the minute length of each ride, with Ride 45, Ride 60, Ride 75 and Ride 90 options. Beginners should start with the Ride 45 option, whilst hardened endurance junkies can opt for the challenging 75- or 90-minute sessions.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the branch was impressive, with the staff easily and clearly answering all of the questions we had before our class.
At the club, the team responded well to us telling them it was our first class at Psycle. They were enthusiastic and welcoming, which got us excited for the session ahead. After the class, the reception staff had answers to our questions, but not much effort was made to help us continue training at the club.
The Class Experience
Psycle Clapham received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of London’s stand-out offerings.
Our instructor helped created an excellent atmosphere in the class and explained each movement carefully, with some of them being quite complex. Her energy was very positive, and she interacted with many of the riders before and during the session. After the class, the instructor left quickly.
The Equipment And Studio
The light and sound system were top-notch, which helped to create the vibe and atmosphere in the room. As is common in cycling studios, the space was tight, making the cooldown portion of the workout a little cramped.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
The changing rooms and publics areas were functional, but not particularly striking in design.
Digital And Technology
The website was designed cleanly and it was easy to find all of the relevant information. The booking process was smooth and intuitive, and there was a good level of communication from the brand via email concerning cancellation policies and booking confirmation.
