What To Expect From A Psycle Ride Session
Psycle has developed a reputation for hosting some of London’s most energetic and charismatic instructors - a key ingredient for a great cycling class. Psycle’s approach is rhythm cycling to the beat of the music, with the sound system and lights completing a special, immersive experience.
Class options are based on the minute length of each ride, with Ride 45, Ride 60, Ride 75 and Ride 90 options. Beginners should start with the Ride 45 option, whilst hardened endurance junkies can opt for the challenging 75- or 90-minute sessions.
The Reception Service
Our phone call to the studio kicked things off on the right foot. The line was picked up straight away, and our questions were answered with confidence and ease. It ticked all the boxes for information, but the conversation felt a touch business-like.
Walking into the studio, everything ran smoothly. Check-in was quick, we got clear directions on where to find the changing rooms and the studio, and even a heads-up on what to grab before class. It all worked, but a little extra warmth or a personal touch would have gone a long way.
After class, things wrapped up just as they started – efficient and polite, but without much spark. There was no check-in on how we enjoyed the class, or a nudge to come back, which made the goodbye feel a little flat. A bit more energy and connection during the experience would have made it more memorable, rather than functional.
The Class Experience
The Class Experience has received The Fit Guide Recommended rating.
The class had good energy from the start, with a friendly vibe and a challenging workout that kept us moving. The coach welcomed the room warmly and made sure the music and pace kept things flowing, but didn’t dig too deep into who was new, what experience people had, or whether anyone needed extra guidance.
Once the class got going, the intensity was high but not overwhelming. Instructions were clear, demonstrations were easy to follow, and we always knew what we should be doing in the moment. There wasn’t much in the way of tailored feedback or checks on form, and encouragement stayed pretty general, but the upbeat atmosphere and consistent flow made it a workout we could get into.
Things wrapped up on a high note with a cooldown that brought the energy down nicely and an upbeat group send-off. The coach didn’t check in with us directly after the class, but a few kind words in the changing room about how tough the session was – and a reminder to go easy on ourselves – added a nice human touch that left us feeling reassured and happy to return.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio had a clean, polished feel, with all equipment in excellent condition. The bikes and weights looked professional and the lighting added a nice sense of energy that kept the space feeling vibrant.
We did notice that one bike was awkwardly placed next to a pillar, making the cooldown moves a little cramped, and some smudges on the mirrors stood out against the otherwise spotless room.
Overall, it was a comfortable and well-kept environment.A few bold visual elements and branding touches would have taken the vibe from simply pleasant to genuinely memorable.
The Facilities And Public Areas
The club had a bright, polished vibe, with most areas feeling clean, comfortable and easy to navigate. The changing rooms and grooming spaces were neatly presented, lockers were provided with easy-to-use number locks, and towels were fresh and rolled.
The showers worked perfectly, with strong pressure and reliably hot water, and the smoothie and coffee bar added a premium touch, running smoothly with drinks and snacks that matched the club’s high-end feel.
There wasn’t much in the way of design and branding but, overall, the space felt welcoming and functional, and the friendly team helped keep things running smoothly.
Digital And Technology
The club’s digital setup made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. The website was easy to use, with a clean design that felt on-brand and straightforward booking that let us lock in a class in just a couple of clicks. Everything, from payment to confirmation, worked like a charm, with clear instructions and cancellation options that made planning simple.
Social media brought the club’s vibe to life with fresh, regular updates and plenty of real class moments, and the option for on-demand workouts added a little extra value for anyone wanting to train at home.
