What Our Evaluator Had To Say

“The coach gave easier and harder options for the exercises.”
“The look and feel of the public areas were in line with the brand.”
What To Expect From A Karve Session
The Karve experience offers something different to the London Pilates fitness scene, with dark rooms, loud music and an urban loft style design. There are only 12 reformer beds per class, giving the instructor more time to offer personalized attention and coaching.
Classes are 50 minutes long and are designed to be intense, but easy on your joints. Their sessions go beyond the physical, with each class ending with five minutes of mindfulness and breath work, to wind down the session and offer an escape from the fast pace of London life.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the branch, although a little lacking in enthusiasm, was helpful, with the staff explaining all we needed to know before attending our session at Karve.
At the club, we found the female receptionist to be friendly and reassuring, as it was our first time doing this type of class.
The Class Experience
Karve Notting Hill achieved our Rated score for the Class Experience.
The instructor paid close attention to form and technique throughout, and gave first timers some special care. However, some exercises were tough for us as first timers, and alternative, regressed options would have been helpful.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio was very clean and fresh, and the pilates machines were in excellent condition. In addition, the vibe of the studio was in sync with the overall feel of the club and brand.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with key locks. Free water refill stations were available.
Although the look and feel of the public areas was well designed and in keeping with the brand, there were no real changing rooms available, with only two unisex shower/changing cubicles, and one unisex and one disabled toilet cubicle.
Digital And Technology
The online booking process was smooth and could be done through the app or the website. The website lacked some key features such as information on the different class types on offer, as well as information on the coaches.
