What To Expect From A Jab Session
Jab’s classes are inspired by boxing legends, taking inspiration from the mental and physical grit of the sport’s greats. Their 45-minute classes are a mix of bodyweight and free weight strength exercises, such as dumbbell squats and burpees, combined with boxing skills and practice on the bags and pads.
Sessions are broken down into six rounds of bag-work, six rounds of ground-work in an environment that’s fun and accessible, whilst also offering a suitable challenge for those who want to push themselves hard.
The Reception Service
During our pre-visit phone call, the receptionist was helpful, but not enthusiastic. We felt prepared for our class but no more excited than we had been prior to the call.
At the club, the female receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and was happy to talk to us about the different membership options.
The Class Experience
Jab Mayfair achieved our Rated score for the Class Experience.
The class was overall an energizing and enjoyable experience, but as a first-timer to the club with no real boxing experience, more attention on the correct form and technique would have helped improve the class."
The Equipment And Studio
The training space was clean, felt fresh, and all of the equipment was of excellent quality. The training area was in line with the smart, classic design of the rest of the club, with wood panelling features and brown leather boxing bags.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
Overall the feel of the club was spacious, very chic and beautifully designed with lots of boxing elements. The changing room was very pleasant but a little tight on space.
Digital And Technology
The website was professionally designed with a video that nicely represented the Jab brand and experience. The booking process was smooth but lacked information on the class cancellation policy.
