What To Expect From A Jab Session
Jab’s classes are inspired by boxing legends, taking inspiration from the mental and physical grit of the sport’s greats. Their 45-minute classes are a mix of bodyweight and free weight strength exercises, such as dumbbell squats and burpees, combined with boxing skills and practice on the bags and pads.
Sessions are broken down into six rounds of bag-work, six rounds of ground-work in an environment that’s fun and accessible, whilst also offering a suitable challenge for those who want to push themselves hard.

The Reception Service
During our pre-visit phone call, the receptionist was helpful, but not enthusiastic. We felt prepared for our class but no more excited than we had been prior to the call.
Things picked up when we arrived. We were greeted right away with a smile and checked in quickly, which set a nice tone. The receptionist gave us a quick rundown on where the changing rooms were and how to get sorted for class. It wasn’t overly detailed, but it felt friendly, and she was easy to chat with about membership options, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and approachable.
After class, the receptionist took time to explain packages and membership options clearly and knowledgeably. However, there wasn’t a strong effort to guide us toward our next step.
The Class Experience
The class had plenty of energy and we left feeling satisfied, but as first-timers stepping into a boxing session, we didn’t feel fully supported on technique or form. The coach brought a lively vibe and kept things moving, but there wasn’t much effort to connect with everyone individually or to make sure beginners like us had the basics down.
The warmup got us ready for the workout, and the session itself was structured and upbeat, with music that kept the energy high. That said, instructions were sometimes hard to hear over the volume, and demonstrations felt a little rushed. It left us looking around to copy others at times, rather than feeling confident we knew exactly what to do.
By the end, the cooldown helped bring the pace down nicely, and the class wrapped up on a positive note. There was a strong sense of community among the regulars, which gave the room a great atmosphere.

The Equipment And Studio
The studio’s training space made a great first impression — it was spotless, fresh, and felt instantly ready for a workout. Every piece of equipment was top-notch, with gloves and bags proudly branded and in perfect condition. There was plenty of room to move, and the layout felt intentional and easy to navigate.
The space itself had a stylish, cohesive feel, with wood paneling and brown leather boxing bags that tied into the club’s look. The lighting was deliberately kept dark, which created atmosphere but made it a bit harder to follow along at the very start of class.
The sound system had power, but the microphone clarity meant instructions weren’t always easy to catch over the music. Even so, the overall setup left us highly impressed — a well-maintained, professional space that made the class feel like a premium experience from the start.
The Facilities And Public Areas
The public areas at the club were genuinely impressive, with a chic, design-led look that felt premium and. The boxing-inspired details, from gloves hung artfully on the wall to framed photos of iconic fighters, gave the space personality, while plants and warm wooden finishes added a softer touch.
The changing rooms carried through the same stylish aesthetic, with bronze and wood accents and neatly rolled towels on custom holders. Showers were spotless and well-maintained, and a great range of amenities like deodorant, dry shampoo, and cotton pads were stocked up and ready to go. While the room itself looked great, it could have used a little more space — at busy times we found ourselves sharing a mirror just to get ready.
Towels were complimentary (both workout and shower), lockers were clean and easy to use, and there was even a small coffee bar serving drinks like still water and Nocco caffeine cans.

Digital And Technology
The digital experience at Jab was professional, with a polished website that instantly set the tone. The use of video on the landing page was a real standout, giving us an immediate feel for the vibe of the space before we even stepped foot inside. Booking a class was straightforward and smooth, though we would have appreciated a bit more clarity around cancellation policies.
The website was packed with useful information, from class schedules to coach bios, and struck the right tone with language that felt energetic and on-brand. Social media wasn’t updated as frequently as it could have been, but the content that was there was high quality and reflected the real in-studio atmosphere.
The combination of a well-designed website, strong branding, and easy booking left us with a positive impression.
