The Heartcore Story

Heartcore was founded in 2007 by Jessie Blum, with a vision of creating a “home away from home” and a positive space free of judgement. Whilst Jessie did not originally intend Heartcore to be a multi-location brand, their unique blend of pilates, yoga and movement training proved a big hit and fuelled their growth.

Heartcore currently has seven location in London and is available for franchise. They also run retreats to international destinations such as St Tropez.

What To Expect From A Heartcore Session

Heartcore is a Pilates concept that offers both mat and ‘Coreformer’ classes. Classes are typically 60 minutes long and offer smaller class sizes than most, allowing for extra individualized attention from the instructor.

Find Your Flow is recommended as a good introductory session for beginners, with Coreformer Pilates and and Heartcore On The Mat their standard all-level offerings.

Heartcore offers a host of on-demand digital classes that cover a range of goals and methods, such as strength work, stretching and pre- and post-natal.

The Reception Service

Our phone inquiry was handled really well, with clear and enthusiastic communication that provided all the essential details. While post-class follow-up was limited, we were directed to the appropriate team for membership and package information. The overall tone was approachable and friendly throughout.

Heartcore offers a relaxed and informal arrival experience, without a dedicated reception area or front desk staff. While this setup required us to take a more independent approach upon entry, check-in was smooth once the coach was available, and we appreciated the warm, friendly welcome that followed. The brief orientation helped us feel comfortable and ready for class.

For those who enjoy a streamlined, studio-focused experience with minimal formalities, Heartcore offers a calm and low-key approach to getting started.

The Class Experience

Heartcore Chelsea received our Recommended rating for the Class Experience.

We were really impressed by the quality of the class and the level of personalized attention throughout. Our instructor demonstrated a strong understanding of form and technique, offering well-timed adjustments and encouragement that made the session feel both professional and supportive. Using names during class added a personal touch that helped us feel seen and valued.

While the class structure wasn’t outlined in advance and the music occasionally made it challenging to hear instructions, the flow remained clear, and we felt confident in each movement. The session struck a thoughtful balance between challenge and accessibility, with appropriate modifications and a steady pace.

From start to finish, the class delivered a high standard of instruction in a welcoming and focused environment. We left feeling accomplished and well cared for.

The Equipment And Studio

The studio environment at Heartcore was clean, inviting, and well thought out. All equipment was in excellent condition and arranged with ample space between stations, allowing for a comfortable and unrestricted workout experience. The quality of the equipment reflected the studio’s professional standards.

While equipment branding was subtle, the design and upkeep spoke volumes. The studio space itself featured soft lighting complemented by large mirrors, creating a calm yet functional training environment. The sound system was strong and well integrated, enhancing the overall atmosphere.

Every detail—from layout to lighting—contributed to a space that felt both elevated and serene, supporting a focused and enjoyable workout.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Heartcore’s public areas reflected a clean, calming aesthetic with a design that felt both modern and inviting. While the amenities were minimal, the environment was fresh and well-presented, with thoughtful interior details such as wooden flooring, Moroccan tilework, and navy accents creating a tranquil setting.

The unisex changing area included private cubicles, clean showers with strong water pressure, and complimentary towels. Although lockers weren’t available and space was somewhat limited, everything was tidy and in good condition. Amenities were modest but sufficient, with essentials like hairdryers and body care products provided.

The sensory elements—lighting, scent, and music—blended well to create a pleasant and restorative atmosphere.

Digital And Technology

Heartcore delivered a smooth digital experience, with a well-designed, easy-to-navigate website that made browsing and booking seamless. Class information, coach bios, and schedules were clearly presented, and we found the booking process intuitive and efficient. A more detailed onboarding process would have been helpful for first-time visitors, but the clarity of the system still left us feeling well prepared.

The website aligned closely with the brand’s tone and values. Social media presence was strong in look and messaging, though content was posted infrequently.

Overall, the digital journey reflected the studio’s professional yet approachable identity. With access to livestream options and a dedicated app, Heartcore’s digital touchpoints effectively supported a smooth and positive client experience.
