What to Expect From A FS8 Oxford Circus Session
At FS8, the focus is on variety and balance, combining elements of Pilates, yoga, and strength training into one seamless program. Classes are designed to move beyond a single discipline, offering a mix of mat, reformer, and functional strength work in every session.
Each 50-minute class blends controlled Pilates movements, strength-based exercises, and mobility work, using reformers, dumbbells, resistance bands, and bodyweight drills to keep things fresh and dynamic.
FS8 keeps things structured but never repetitive, with progressive programming and smart sequencing that helps you build strength, improve flexibility, and feel results across every phase of your training.

The Reception Service
The phone call to FS8 Oxford Circus made a good first impression. The receptionist was polite, calm and clear, and gave helpful details about class options and packages, even suggesting the best starting point for beginners.
On arrival, we were greeted promptly and made to feel welcome. Registration was quick and smooth, and we were given a simple orientation that covered the essentials like where to find water, changing rooms and where to leave our things. It was also reassuring to be introduced to the coach for our induction.
After class, the receptionist gave us a warm send-off. He seemed genuinely happy we’d been there, offered a leaflet with a QR code, and even texted us the same offer to make things easier. While the sales follow-up could have been more proactive, we still felt looked after and encouraged to return.
The Class Experience
The class ran smoothly, with a clear flow and well-timed cues that kept us on track from start to finish. The induction at the start was thorough and helped us feel ready to use the reformer machine, but much of the session was delivered via screens, which made it feel a little less personal and coach-led.
The coach was professional, polite, and supportive, stepping in when needed to help with form and offering guidance discreetly. However, there weren’t many personal touches – our name wasn’t used during the session, progressions for those looking for an extra challenge weren’t offered, and there was no follow-up afterwards, which left the experience feeling slightly transactional rather than truly engaging.
The class structure was strong, the music worked well, and we always felt confident in what we needed to do. It just missed that spark of connection and encouragement that could have elevated it from a solid workout into a truly memorable one.

The Equipment And Studio
The studio looked fantastic, with a crisp, fresh feel that made working out there a pleasure. Everything was spotless and clearly maintained to a high standard. The equipment was top-tier, well-stocked, and even branded, which made the space feel polished and professional.
There was plenty of room to move and the layout felt thoughtful, with equipment spaced for comfort and safety. The environment struck a nice balance – well-lit, comfortably cool, and elevated by design touches like silver accents, frosted brand patterns, and a feature wall that changed color during the class.

The Facilities And Public Areas
The upstairs area of the club felt inviting, fresh, and modern, with stylish seating and a bright atmosphere. Complimentary towels were neatly folded on shelves, and the branded workout gear for sale added a nice touch. However, the downstairs space, shared with another club, lacked that same energy and looked dated, with mixed branding and areas showing signs of wear.
Changing rooms were generally tidy, though we did notice some wear and tear. Showers, on the other hand, were spotless, with strong pressure and plenty of hot water, and both workout and shower towels were free.
The core experience felt solid thanks to thoughtful touches like a free water refill station, branded elements, and a generally clean and well-kept environment upstairs.

Digital And Technology
The digital experience left a strong impression from the start, with a website that was intuitive and aligned with the brand’s look. Booking a class was easy, payment was seamless, and the process felt smooth and straightforward. The website explained the classes in plenty of detail and maintained a consistent, upbeat tone throughout, though it lacked instructor bios and clear directions or maps.
Emails were well-branded and friendly, tying in with the overall digital experience, and the branded app was another standout, offering extra touches like a recipe section that went beyond the basics. Social media captured the vibe of the studio well and was updated frequently.
