What To Expect From A BXR Sweatcon Session
BXR’s Sweatcon concept is a strength and conditioning class that combines free weight lifting with HIIT (high intensity interval training) metabolic work on SkiErgs and Assault Bikes.
Each program is designed by BXR master trainer, Faisal Abdallah, on a 6-day cycle that rotates between push, pull and lower body work, offering a true full body workout across the week. For best results, Faisal recommends at least three sessions per week.
The class is a 45-minute session and is only available at BXR’s City club.
The Reception Service
Our phone call went smoothly with polite service and accurate information shared about packages and classes.
Arriving at the club included a quick check-in and an orientation that covered the essentials like where to find the studio and changing rooms. However, there was no effort to acknowledge us as a first-timer, nor any guidance on where to wait, and the interaction felt more transactional than welcoming.
On departure, while staff remained polite and professional, there was no follow-up on the class or effort to encourage us to visit again.
The Class Experience
The Class Experience was impressive and has received The Fit Guide Class Experience Award of Excellence.
The class at BXR City was pure good vibes from start to finish. The coach set the tone right away by welcoming everyone as they arrived and making sure first timers felt comfortable with a quick intro to the equipment and what to expect. The workout focused on just one core movement, but thanks to the coach’s energy and the punchy, well-paced structure, it stayed fresh and fun the whole way through.
Once things got going, the room had a great buzz. The coach kept spirits high with form tips, regular check-ins and an upbeat presence that made it easy to push through the tougher moments. While he didn’t call out names or throw around loads of personal shoutouts, his enthusiasm and big smile kept the motivation flowing.
By the end, the cooldown brought the pace down nicely, and the class closed on a high with a round of applause and a few laughs. There wasn’t much in the way of follow-up or community-building touches, but the class itself was energising, simple to follow, and left us feeling like we’d had a great workout.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio at BXR City made a strong impression with its clean, high-quality setup. The cardio machines, particularly the Versaclimbers, were spotless and in excellent working order, giving off a professional, well-maintained vibe. While the equipment didn’t showcase much branding, it was neatly arranged and spaced for a smooth workout flow.
The overall environment felt fresh and comfortable, with good lighting that shifted with the music to keep the energy dynamic. The walls and floors were clean and mostly in top shape, with just a few minor scuffs, and the sound system was high quality, making every beat hit just right.
Even without an architectural “wow” factor, the space still felt purposeful and on-brand.
The Facilities And Public Areas
BXR City’s public areas delivered an unforgettable first impression, blending design with a high-energy atmosphere. The club sits on the 25th floor, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered jaw-dropping views across London that instantly elevated the vibe. Bronze and marble finishes, bold wall art, and creative touches like a chain curtain all combined to create an environment that felt both premium and inspiring.
The layout was easy to navigate, with plenty of space in waiting areas and a buzz of upbeat music that matched the brand’s energy. Changing rooms were tidy and thoughtfully designed, featuring gold finishes, teak details, and stylish lighting that made the grooming area feel almost spa-like. Complimentary towels were handed out at check-in, and another ready on the machine. Amenities like deodorant, dry shampoo, and cotton pads were generously stocked and displayed.
From clean, powerful showers with consistent hot water to a smoothie bar that added a social, post-workout perk, the space balanced function and style beautifully.
Digital And Technology
BXR City’s digital experience was cool and easy to use, with a modern website full of studio imagery and smooth booking via the site or app. The tone felt perfectly on-brand and left a strong impression.
