How Did BXR City Score Overall?
The full client experience at BXR City was positive, achieving our Recommended rating.
The class itself was a real highlight, winning our 4-Star Class Experience Award.
The Highlights
The public areas had a distinctive design and feel, which BXR has become well-known for. The views of the London skyline were particularly special.
What Our Evaluator Had To Say
“The coach made an effort to ensure that we enjoyed themselves and were motivated to work hard.”
“Individual adjustments to form were offered in a discreet and patient manner, which helped me feel comfortable in the workout.”
“The space was clean and well-maintained and the views of the city skyline were impressive.”
What To Expect From A BXR Sweatcon Session
BXR’s Sweatcon concept is a strength and conditioning class that combines free weight lifting with HIIT (high intensity interval training) metabolic work on SkiErgs and Assault Bikes.
Each program is designed by BXR master trainer, Faisal Abdallah, on a 6-day cycle that rotates between push, pull and lower body work, offering a true full body workout across the week. For best results, Faisal recommends at least three sessions per week.
The class is a 45-minute session and is only available at BXR’s City club.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the branch was very good, with the staff being able to confidently answer all of our questions as well as recommending a starter trial.
In the branch, our interactions with the receptionist were pleasant and professional, but did not go beyond that. More effort to engage with us would have improved the experience.
The Class Experience
BXR City received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of London’s stand-out offerings.
The coach made the class an enjoyable experience, with lots of interaction and encouragement. There was a positive energy in the class and the coach appeared to be having a good time. A clear, visible timer would have helped bring more structure to the class.
The Equipment And Studio
The space was clean and well maintained, and the room was at an appropriate temperature. The lowest weights available were 5kg, which appeared to be a little too heavy for some clients on a few of the exercises.
The views of the city skyline were spectacular, offering a backdrop that is unmatched in London's fitness scene.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
The look and feel of the public areas was attractive and comfortable. The art work, marble countertops at reception and views of the city skyline all contributed to a special and unique feel. The range of amenities were deep, but some had run out.
Digital And Technology
The website looked slick, was easy to navigate, and contained lots of relevant information. Social media channels contained high-quality content that was on-brand.
