How Did 1Rebel St Mary's Axe Score Overall?
The full client experience at 1Rebel St Mary's Axe was impressive, achieving The Fit Guide 4-Star Award.
The class was also very good, winning our Class Experience 4-Star Class Experience Award.
The class experience was strong from start to finish, kicking off with a thorough induction and ending with the coach waiting at the door to connect with everyone one last time. The impressive facilities and public areas, coupled with the distinctive 1Rebel branding, were evident throughout the club.
What Our Evaluator Had To Say
“The induction at the start of class for first-timers was clear and prioritized, helping me feel comfortable working at my own pace throughout the class.”
“The coach was very encouraging and made me feel like I’d happily return to one of his classes.”
“The club’s design was impressive and striking.”
What To Expect From A 1Rebel Reshape Session
Reshape is 1Rebel’s treadmill and floor work concept, mixing running interval training with dumbbell strength exercises on their custom Rebel Bench.
For the running component, the instructor will offer speed guidelines and varying interval and incline instructions. These can be adjusted to your ability level.
For the floor work, bodyweight and dumbbell strength exercises are programmed, with a range of weights to cater for all levels.
Lights, a big soundsystem and an MC slash instructor all combine to complete a fun and challenging session.
1Rebel’s popular Reshape concept is available at Angel, St Mary Axe, Broadgate, South Bank, Bayswater, Oxford Circus, Holborn, St John's Wood and High Street Kensington.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the branch was good, with the staff explaining the details of the workout and facilities well.
On arrival in the club, the reception staff were not very proactive in engaging or anticipating our needs as a first timer, but once engaged they were friendly and professional. After the session, the reception staff was comfortable discussing the packages and asked us questions to help establish our needs.
The Class Experience
1Rebel St Mary's Axe received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of London’s stand-out offerings.
The coach did a great job of rounding up the first timers and taking us through a comprehensive induction, which helped us to feel more at ease with what to expect. They made an effort to meaningfully connect with everyone in the class and brought a positive energy to the experience.
More individual words of encouragement would have helped to improve the experience.
The Equipment And Studio
In the studio, the lighting changed depending on the intensity, which was a nice feature that added to the experience. Equipment was high end and functioned well, such as the customized Rebel benches which had a well-stocked range of dumbbell weights, and the Woodway treadmills which were easy to navigate and use.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
The public areas were spacious and clean, with numerous interesting branding elements such as the neon lit 1Rebel logo as we came down the stairs. Graffiti art, exposed pipes and a hair salon all contributed to a stand-out location and vibe.
Digital And Technology
We were able to easily make a booking through 1Rebel’s branded app, as it was informative and easy to navigate. The brand’s social media channels were regularly updated and portrayed its values well.
