What To Expect From A 1Rebel Reformer Session
1Rebel’s Reformer sessions offer the trademark Rebel spin on the classic training method of Pilates. No experience is required in this low-impact 45-minute workout on 1Rebel’s signature reformer beds.
As you would expect from any 1Rebel concept, there will be movements to the music, lazers and lights, all combining to create an immersive experience and environment.
Reformer is available at Oxford Circus, Victoria, Angel, Bayswater, St John's Wood, High Street Kensington and Holborn.
The Reception Service
Our pre-visit call to the branch was handled by an enthusiastic and professional member of the 1Rebel team, who was very informative when discussing the details of the workout.
On arrival, a verbal orientation of the club was given and a bottle of water was offered, which was a nice touch. The interactions were overall efficient and quite warm, although there was some confusion around what footwear was required for the session.
The Class Experience
1Rebel Angel received our Recommended rating for the Class Experience.
As a first-timer to this concept and a beginner to Pilates, we were made to feel comfortable and well-looked after overall. The coach was clearly qualified and experience, but we were left a little confused by the structure and format of the class. Overall, the class participants appeared to be enjoying the experience, which we also found challenging and fun.
The Equipment And Studio
The Pilates reformers were of clear high-quality and the equipment, along with the overall space, was clean and in great condition. The studio space was intentionally darkly lit with purple and blue fluorescent lighting, which enhanced the experience and made it strongly stand out from more traditional Pilates classes.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
The public areas carried the trademark 1Rebel design and vibe, but, whilst overall clean, there were a few small cleanliness issues noted in the changing rooms.
Digital And Technology
We were able to easily make a booking through 1Rebel’s branded app, as it was informative and easy to navigate. The brand’s social media channels were regularly updated and portrayed its values well.
Pricing
1Rebel Angel offers an introductory deal of three classes for £49 for first-time clients.
If you’re looking for a longer-term commitment, memberships are available from £85 per month for five classes, to £190 per month for unlimited classes. It should be noted that these prices are based on a six-month contract and that prices vary for three or 12-month commitments.
Drop-in sessions are available at £25 per class, with smaller commitment packages also available, starting at a three-pack for £70.
