What to Expect From A UNDERDOGBOXN Session
UNDERDOGBOXN is a boxing and fitness experience designed to be both accessible and fun. Their workouts are delivered in a dark room with aqua boxing bags, guided by experienced and motivating instructors. They aim to leave you walking out the door “feeling like a champion”.
Class types include BOXN, which is a straight 12 rounds of boxing on the bags; BOXNBODY, which alternates the rounds between boxing and conditioning and BOXNFLOW, which combines boxing with yoga poses.
The Reception Service
Our call to the club was handled by an informative and positive staff member.
On arrival at the club, the interactions with the receptionist were pleasant enough, but largely kept to the basics of what was needed to know. When we enquired about training packages after the session, we were shown a price list.
The Class Experience
UNDERDOGBOXN received the 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of Dubai’s stand-out offerings.
Our coach was very friendly and personable and took the time and effort to give a very thorough induction, showing us the correct form and technique. Throughout the session she was professional and upbeat, delivering a fun and energetic session.
She genuinely looked like she was enjoying it and she stayed focused on the class, completing a well-rounded and upbeat experience that left us wanting to return.
The Equipment And Studio
The space was clean and generally in good condition, with some wear and tear on the flooring. The lighting effects and design touches rounded off an impressive space that offered a strong sense of brand.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were provided free of charge. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
The public areas were impressive overall, and the staff members we encountered around the studio were all very friendly, contributing to a nice atmosphere. One asked how our class was and another struck up a conversation in the changing room, saying that he joined classes sometimes too.
To get to the changing rooms, we had to walk through an active training area where another class was taking place.
Digital And Technology
The website was designed sleekly with high-quality media providing insight into the client experience. The booking process was smooth and intuitive.
Pricing
UNDERDOGBOXN offers an introductory deal for first-time clients. Newcomers can pay 120AED and enjoy two classes for the price of one.
If you’re looking for a longer-term commitment, memberships are available from 280AED for four classes per month up to 1200AED for unlimited classes.
Drop-in sessions are available at 120AED per class, with smaller commitment packages also available, starting at a five-pack for 575AED.
