What to Expect From A REVL Training Session
REVL is an evidence-based strength and conditioning program that incorporates rowers, air bikes and Ski-Ergs, amongst other tools, for the conditioning aspect, and dumbbells, barbells, medicine balls and rigs for their strength component.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are strength-focused workouts called Move and Perform, with Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays more conditioning-based, called Sweat. Team sessions involve working with others in the REVL community towards a common goal.
Community and high performance are a big focus of the REVL approach and have helped them build a devoted following.
The Reception Service
All three of our attempts to contact the club by phone were unanswered.
On arrival at the club, our coach was also in charge of check-in duties. He was friendly and made an effort to get to know us.
After the session, the front desk was not staffed so we were unable to find out more about the packages and memberships.
The Class Experience
REVL Training Downtown received The Fit Guide 4-Star Class Experience Award, making it one of Dubai’s stand-out offerings.
The session started well, with the coach introducing themselves and learning our name. He had a friendly manner and took the time to ask us a few questions to better get to know our goals and training history.
Once the session kicked off, the structure was quite complex, but once we understood how it was structured it was intense and enjoyable. The class was wrapped up well and the coach checked in with us at the end, rounding off a strong experience.
The Equipment And Studio
The studio had an industrial, functional design and overall the space had a strong sense of brand. The equipment was clean and overall in good condition, with some wear and tear noted.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout and shower towels were not provided. Lockers were provided with number locks. Free water refill stations were available.
The public areas were fresh and comfortable, nicely branded and had an attractive design throughout.
Digital And Technology
The booking process was intuitive and simple. Also, the aesthetic of the club’s website and social media channels was sleek and consistent with the in-studio experience.
Screens placed around the studio which displayed the workout structure were helpful and aided the experience.
Pricing
REVL Training Downtown offers two introductory deals for first-time clients. Newcomers can enjoy two weeks of unlimited training or five days of classes for special rates of 500AED and 300AED respectively.
If you’re looking for a longer-term commitment, unlimited memberships are available from 1150AED for a peak-flexi membership up to 3450AED for a three-month (plus one free month) commitment.
Drop-in sessions are available at 120AED per class, with smaller commitment packages also available, starting at a 10-pack for 1000AED.
