What to Expect From A F45 Session
The name stands for “Functional Training 45”, with sessions being a mix of functional HIIT and strength exercises delivered in a 45-minute format. Each day, the workout is predetermined by F45 HQ and is the same at every F45 location worldwide.
Their Saturday “Hollywood” sessions are the only 60-minute class and are famous for hiring local DJs to create a party atmosphere and bring the community together.
Workouts are typically run by two or more coaches per class. To support the coach, clients are guided by screens that display each exercise as well as beeps and graphics that cue them to work, rest or move to their next station.
The Reception Service
It was not possible to contact the club by phone prior to our visit.
As with all F45s, there was no dedicated receptionist when we visited, however, the coaches were friendly and welcoming once they became available. After the class, they engaged our evaluator in conversation and encouraged them to continue training.
The Class Experience
F45 Marina has achieved The Fit Guide 5-Star Class Experience award for an outstanding class, putting it amongst the very best in Dubai and the industry.
We were highly impressed with the smooth running of the workout. It was always clear where everyone needed to be and the exercises were tailored to all ability levels.
The coaches were professional and provided an excellent overview and introduction to the work. Throughout the class, they offered strong demonstrations of the exercises and attentive, personalised coaching throughout.
The Equipment And Studio
While the studio and equipment showed some signs of wear, the space was well-equipped and everything was in working condition.
The high ceilings, on-brand design and color scheme were notable.
The Facilities And Public Areas
Workout towels were provided free of charge. Shower towels and lockers were not provided. Free water refill stations were not available.
The facilities at the club were limited but functional. Beverages such as energy drinks and water were available to purchase.
Digital And Technology
The club’s website was professionally designed and featured high-quality and engaging video content. Branding throughout the website was strong and our evaluator was able to get great insight into what they should expect in their F45 session.
The in-class technology included F45’s signature Lionheart heart-rate tracking technology as well as TV screens that highlighted the workout and displayed videos of the correct technique.

F45 Marina offers an introductory deal for first-time clients. Newcomers can enjoy seven classes in one week for 199AED
If you’re looking for a longer-term commitment, unlimited memberships are available from 1100AED, when you purchase a monthly recurring deal, up to 3150AED paid upfront for a three-month unlimited classes membership.
Drop-in sessions are available at 120ADE per class, with smaller commitment packages also available, starting at a five-pack for 550AED.
