GymNation Makes Its Move Into Saudi Arabia

GymNation Has Opened Its First KSA Club in Riyadh

GymNation has officially opened in Riyadh, marking a big power play for one of the Middle East’s fastest-growing fitness brands. With over 77,000 square feet and 7,000 members on day one, the brand new GymNation flagship has made a big mark on the city’s fitness scene.

GymNation, led by Loren Holland, Frank Afeaki and Ant Martland, launched in 2018 and disrupted Dubai's fitness scene with its brash marketing messages and low membership fees. Its growth has been rapid, with this new Riyadh club being their 22nd opening.

Membership Fees

Memberships for the new club start at 199 SAR (approximately 53 USD) per month for a basic membership with single-site access, up to 299 SAR (around 80 USD) per month for a full bells-and-whistles package that includes all the extras, such as HYROX classes, boxing and Pilates.

As a show of strength and intent for KSA, GymNation has moved their HQ to Riyadh to prepare for rapid expansion in the Kingdom. 20 locations have been earmarked for 2025, with many under construction currently.

Here’s what to expect from their first Riyadh gym.

Built for Strength and Purpose

GymNation is more than a place to ‘work out’. Their free weights area is the largest in the region, packed with top-tier equipment to cater to lifters of all levels. Their dedicated Glute Zone taps into the trend for lower-body training.

HYROX-Ready

GymNation has signed a deal with Hyrox to launch Hyrox Performance and Training Centers across the Middle East and Saudi Arabia, positioning the brand as one of the very best places to train for the race.

HYROX is going from strength to strength both globally and in the region, and GymNation is ahead of the curve with a dedicated HYROX zone and equipment. Expect sled tracks, rigs, SkiErgs, Rowers and enough space to perform burpees and lunges.

Designed for Everyone

GymNation combines slick interior design with classes that have a boutique energy. The offerings are strong, with the largest ladies-only Reformer Pilates studio in Saudi Arabia and other specialized boxing and HIIT classes. They also have a private Reformer room for Pilates personal training sessions.

Two cycling studios, with spaces for both men and women, round off a deep class schedule that offers excellent value.

Leading the Next Phase of Saudi Fitness

GymNation proves that big, bold gyms with great design and a large range of classes don’t need a big price tag.

With 20 more clubs on the way in Saudi Arabia and plans to expand across the GCC, GymNation is just getting started. This Riyadh flagship sets the tone for a golden few years ahead for Gymnation and at The Fit Guide, we’re excited to see where they go.
